I build segments into stories using the unscripted footage shot on location. I use Premiere Pro to create a rough cut of each segment and write copy for any necessary narration.

This half hour makeover series was a nose-to-tail producer's project. As one of two show producers, I researched and pitched projects to the network, coordinated interior designers and the camera crew. I wrote the preliminary script prior to the shoot, directed the shoot, then created a paper edit for the editor. I wrote narration for this voice-over driven show and directed the voiceover recording sessions.

This short-lived series came in at the tail end of scripted reality series. As a field producer, I worked with the writers to form the script with the construction crew. The tech lead and I would develop the logistics for the shoot. During the shoot we worked closely together through the process. I also directed the two hosts of the show while rewriting the script in the field to form to ever-changing conditions and processes. Each half hour episode was a single D-I-Y project from beginning to end.

As a producer/writer for one of the original D-I-Y series, we carried projects through from beginning to end. In pre-production we researched processes and materials, coordinated field team and construction team,and wrote the script (this was before reality TV went unscripted). In the field we directed the shoot and rewrote the script as needed. In post production, we reviewed cuts, wrote necessary narration and helped polish the episode and see it to its very end.
