Job Description

This role serves as a key position in the *** U Local Stations financial planning and analysis function within *** Universal Local. This role will be responsible for assisting with all financial aspects of the business and requires understanding of accounting/finance and the ability to partner with business units, Corporate Finance, and Comcast.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A, this key role on the *** U Local Headquarters Finance team will help prepare the consolidated financial results, variance analysis, summarize Operational insights & reporting to Station & News leadership. The role will have the ability to gain an in-depth view and understanding of the Local Station business as well as help own HQ Budgets such as Marketing, Research, Programming and Arthouse/other budgets. The ownership of the HQ budgets will allow this role to partner directly with key members of the Local Station Management team such as the *** U Local CMO & EVP of Acquired Programming and the VP of Operations for Arthouse (an in-house creative studio).

Responsibilities

Support Sr. Director, FP&A in consolidating financial results, operational insights and providing variance explanations for *** U's Corporate finance team in preparation of pacing and quarter closes.
Work with Sr. Director, FP&A onfinancial summaries for *** U Local Management & News Finance HQ.
Assist with managing the HQ Budgets, such as Marketing, Research, Programming, Arthouse and others as needed. Understand deal terms and market nuances.
Support monthly and quarterly closing processes (e.g., analyze departmental expenses, calculate required accruals, create journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and take lead to ensure all expenses are captured and stated properly)

This Senior Accountant reports to the Executive Director and will provide support for FCRA audit requests, SDS audit requests and 3rd party participation reporting managed by the group. Your Role Accountabilities:

Job Description

This Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Pricing & Revenue Management department and performs detailed financial analyses of attendance trends and forecasts to make strategic recommendations for ticket pricing and product offerings. By providing high-quality insights, this Senior Financial Analyst supports both the short-term and long-term financial success for Universal *** Hollywood.

Responsibilities include:

Weekly analysis of ticket pricing, products, sales channels, and promotions to provide explanations of revenue trends and forward pacing. This requires maintaining advanced Excel models and translating data into actionable insights.
Developing innovative pricing initiatives (e.g. volume-tiered, variable pricing) and evaluating their success (e.g. sensitivity, break-even, volume analysis) to drive revenue and margin growth.
Partnering with various teams (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Operations, IT) to execute key business initiatives
Supporting FP&A in the development of the Annual Budget, Five-Year Plan, and Quarterly Estimates for ticketing revenue
Supporting Halloween Horror Nights program via forecasting, ticketing product decision analysis, pricing, and capacity management.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field
3+years of progressive experience within finance or analytics
Must be willing to work in the Universal City offices on a hybrid basis
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience with Domo, Tableau, Microstrategy, R, Python, or VBA a plus

Strong analytical skills, capable of delivering detailed, accurate information in a fast-paced environment
Ability to link financial results to performance drivers and able to concisely communicate findings to all levels of the organization

Job Description

As part of the *** U DM&I team, this Sr. Analyst will be responsible for developing data framework and automating data transformation and dataflows across the data science platform. Our data science platform serves as a basis for advanced analytics including, but not limited to audience predictive models, real time data analysis, *** mix models, campaign optimization, data assessments for 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data, and audience development (sizing, planning, profiling). This role reports directly into the Director of Data Science.
