Production Sustainability Representative. Those of you that know are aware this has many different hats. Your responsibility will be assisting a great product that is well seasoned in the game. The job's responsibilities require excellent computer/office skills, great phone etiquette, polite, hard-working.

Please only apply if you do not mind communicating with different departments about having a green initiative. This includes but is not limited to: making sure recycling is being done on set, managing our paper usage. This position is basically keeping in contact with all departments and making sure they are following studio protocol. You will be responsible for making sure all departments are doing their part. If you are shy or timid please do not apply. We need a self-starting leader who can lead the position

Job Summary/Description:

The Technical Director will function as one of the technical leads for production during live or taped studio broadcast productions. The Technical Director is responsible for set up and operation of the production switcher and associated technical equipment in the Production Control Room and/or live location environment. What you'll do:

Your role will include reviewing systems operations logs, installing software and firmware updates to a range of broadcast specific hardware and IT based workstations, and servers- both physical and virtual.
You will assist and troubleshoot technical issues for both in-house and remote studio users.
You will address networking issues that are local or across sites.
Using your troubleshooting abilities, you will isolate and resolve the issues or escalate to subject Matter Experts (SMEs) via escalation procedures.
You will ticket issues and communicate status to management and affected teams.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders for all system upgrades, replacements, and enhancements to our Business Continuity facility.
Contribute to site documentation, ensuring it is created where necessary and updated when required.
Partner with facility management on building systems operations and failures - Intelsat and *** .
Interface with other departments such as Programming and *** Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Services, as well as third parties.
You are responsible for control of systems which produce content for the broadcast channels including the playout, automation, scheduling, routing systems and audio file storage.
You will respond to technical alarms from the various systems in the Broadcast Operations Center in real time as well as addressing the needs of channel programmers. (Talent and producers).
You will directly interface with the Enterprise Control Center Shift Supervisors, the Broadcast Maintenance technical staff, Programming, *** Engineering and the Broadcast Ops Center in DC and NY.

What you'll need:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on technical experience in broadcast or *** content creation facility
Knowledge in a wide range of broadcasting or IT equipment and systems
College degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military or industry experience.
Knowledge of standard MS office suite, Visio and AutoCad
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects

Technical Experience

Configuration and support of Windows and Linux server operating systems
Virtual infrastructure/computing support at the direction of Tier 3 staff.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving experience within a data center environment
In depth knowledge of Windows and Apple OS, including MS Office, Office 365, and Adobe Creative Cloud products.
Understanding and troubleshooting of data network routers, switches, firewalls, and circuits using Splunk, Solarwinds, Wireshark or similar tools
CLI management and scripting experience a plus
Installation, configuration, and support of varied broadcast/production software
Digital and IP-based audio/video routing, playout and recording systems
Installation and deployment of systems, networks, and structured cabling within a broadcast facility
Demonstrated experience with broadcast consoles and related studio equipment.
Familiarity with satellite downlink operations and hardware support
