Television production company looking for experienced Avid Assistant Editors. Must have experience working with remote editors in an Avid environment.

Responsibilities include:
-Sending out audio for transcription and organizing transcripts when they return
-Organizing raw camera media and ingesting into Avid
-Syncing, Multigrouping and Script Syncing media
-Logging media
-Preparing and executing outputs of shows
-Assisting remote editors with media resupplies
-Troubleshooting Avid issues
-Relinking shows to camera masters to send off to Color and Mix

Ideal candidate has a good understanding of current codecs, file formats and workflow, with experience using Avid, Davinci Resolve and Adobe products (Premiere, After Effects, etc.). We only use Mac-based Avids.

Assistant Editor must be local to Austin, but comfortable working with others in a remote environment through Slack, Google Drive and other tools.

50 hours a week. Contract length based on project needs and experience.

Job Description

The Graphic Producer will be responsible for the creation of graphic elements which include written/visual content under tight deadlines in a live broadcast environment including but not limited to a control room.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the content producers to find innovative ways to enhance the on-air content with graphic elements.
Responsible for the creation of the graphic elements in INews.
Work hand in hand with the graphic department to get the latest graphic look for on-air and have knowledge of the latest graphic technologies.
Check and review graphics for grammar, spelling, clarity, and impact under tight deadlines during live productions.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Works under the direct supervision of Executive Producer and is responsible for

completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Degree in communication, graphic design, and/or production.
Minimum 3 years' experience in television production or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
General computer skills: Microsoft Office, iNews and Avid *** Central.
Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).

Eligibility Requirements:

Willingness to travel with short notice and on weekends
Willingness to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Must be covered by Solutions, *** U's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Desired Characteristics:

Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within the organization.
Proven excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong sense of how to visually tell a compelling story desired.
Creative and highly organized.
Detail oriented.
