****-TV On Your Side in Knoxville, Tennessee is looking for a MORNING part-time Operations Technician. The Operations Technician primary duties are operating the teleprompter for live newscasts, studio maintenance, and floor directing. There are also opportunities to participate in other special projects running camera and other production duties as directed.

This is a entry level position to live TV production. A background in *** is preferred but not required. Working well in a team, being on time and understanding deadlines is required

• Operates studio cameras and field cameras for live and taped events
• Composes and frames shots, applying the technical aspects of light, lenses and camera settings to achieve the effects sought by directors, station management, other personnel
• Adjusts positions and controls of cameras to change focus, exposure and lighting as requested by the directors, station management, other personnel
• Operates audio equipment for live and taped events
• Collaborate with the director and studio staff to coordinate the action in the studio
• Builds and decorates the set and/or provides props used for production
• Assist in the installation, operation and maintenance of sound recording equipment
• Provide audio production-related support as needed and may work with outside production facilities
• Assist in digital *** productions, liaising with appropriate departments
• Maintains and stores equipment.

Requirements & Skills :

• Experience in television, film, or post production preferred but not required
• Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff
• Detail oriented with time management focus
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Experience with Overdrive automation is a plus.

Overview:

The CSSU Projects Team is part of the *** Sports Production Services & Operations Team and supports CSSU Linear Creative and Content, Design, Multi *** , BR Gaming, and Sales on the production of all pre-produced content and marketing & sales creative elements.

The Projects Team is the glue for CSSU creative development and production - holding everyone accountable to the overarching project goal. The projects group leads teams by driving their focus where it's required in a fast-paced environment. They are the main point of contact for our internal and external partners and clients and are the people to go to when an update is needed on where a project is and where it needs to be. They will listen to the needs of partners, clients and the CSSU team and help drive improvements in how we work together. Finally, they will drive the project to completion and delivery on-time.

The Manager role is pivotal in leading the team who are project managing the production of all pre-produced content created for *** Sports linear brands. This position is responsible for long range planning, keeping up with changing business needs and helping to create strategic workflows to meet the needs of the business. They are the main point of contact for various internal and external partners to ensure all creative projects have the project management support they need. They are the key partner for their creative counterparts in ensuring the creative production team's projects run seamlessly.

Job Responsibilities:

Project ownership (60%)

• Manage projects from start-to-end by defining project scope, developing detailed project plans and milestones, managing production schedules, leading communication, providing status updates, and delivering final assets.
• Liaison *** ween various groups touching a project including, but not limited to CSSU creative, multi *** , production, production management, programming, design, business teams, marketing, sales and sponsorship, league, legal,andtalent services.
• Create, monitor, and maintain tracking grids/system for all projects.
• Main contact for producers/designers to communicate the daily business/project status, as well as the monitoring, tracking, and reporting on project deliverables to ensure project deadlines are on target.
• Manage producer schedule for individual projects.
• Create, communicate, and adhere to production timelines.
• Manage the process of approvals and feedback as well as feedback to Management.
• Quickly find solutions for operationalquestions orissues within the production team
• Work with Producers and scheduling team on scheduling needs.
• Maintain QT Archive for owned projects.
• Update meeting notes/agendas and send recaps.

Lead long range content planning and development (10%)

• Work with various groups to determine future needs.
• Work closely with Creative Leadership in long range planning.
• Lead project management for content development.
  • Bring creative groups together to brainstorm needs.
  • Facilitate creative write ups and handle/oversee all needed approvals and communication of final concept.

Management and Leadership (10%)

• People Manager
  • Manage day-to-day team member workload and issues that arise.
  • Monitor and approve hours, overtime and PTO/UTO days.

  • Oversee and provide guidance and direction to team in day-to-day responsibilities; coaching as needed to help them achieve their goals and meet the needs of the business.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to oversee Getty tracking document to ensure all team members are tracking images related to their projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships to be main POC for various groups across the business including, but not limited to creative, multi *** , production, production management, programming, design, business teams, marketing, sales and sponsorship, league, legal, and talent services.

Operational Management (5%)

• Process/workflow
  • Identify areas of potential improvement in day-to-day processes and work with Senior Project Manager and Director on possible solutions.

Budget Support (5%)

• Budget back up & support
  • Understanding of budget/forecast/tracking to answer questions in Senior Project Manager and Directors' absence.
  • Assist in managing month to month forecast.
  • Work with Senior Project Manager and Director to plan yearly budgets.
• Individual project budgets:
  • Work with Production Manager on full project budgets and tracking for all project expenses including shoots, music, footage/image licensing, post work (freelancers, comp, etc.), VO and any other expenses that may be incurred for the project.
  • Responsible for keeping up with and being able to communicate expenses for all content projects the team works on.

Awards (5%)

• Work with Senior Project Manager and Director and other Projects Team leads on all creative and content award entries.
• Work with PR closely to determine award entries.
• Delegate and oversee submission material creation, gathering, qc'ing, approvals and uploading.

Presentations (5%)

• Work with leadership to plan and proactively create presentations.
• Delegate and oversee presentation production process.
• Ensure archives are maintained.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years operational, production, project management experience.
• 2-3 years management experience.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and the ability to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Able to contribute to possible solutions and help implement changes.
• Demonstrates analytical skills and the ability to strategize and creatively problem solve to fit the project needs.

Job Description

This is a part-time project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 6 - 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

As a Digitization Production Assistant, you will handle day-to-day and long-term asset management support for the operations team working in a shared storage environment. You will help manage what production material is stored and/or archived, while also working with various production teams to fulfill footage requests.

Responsibilities:

• Helpthe *** Sports Group with digitizing the videotape, disc and film archive
• Organize and enter metadata for videotapes, discs and film reels in the *** Sports Group's physical *** tracking system
• Review all physical libraries to determine which assets should be digitized
• Prepare tapes to be sent out of house to be digitized
• Assist with the editing of metadata and trimming for new digital files
• Track physical *** shipments coming back to the *** Sports Group facility and prepare them to be sent out for long-term storage
• Support all of *** 's production teams with footage searches, restores, EDLs, and screeners
• Ensure operationally that LTO/ODA assets are being updated as they move throughout the building as they're critical to our operations

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in a relevant TV Production or related field; orequivalent work experience
• Minimum one (1+) yearof familiarity with use of Avid non-linear editing software and Avid Interplay *** asset management softwareor similar NLE
• Minimum one (1+) yearexperience supporting Windows operating environment
• Minimum one (1+) yearof prior studio/remote sports production experience
• Posses a level of sports knowledge

The *** *** Company is hiring for a Studio Tech II at **** in Helena. They will ensure smooth operation of technical equipment and services during programs. Perform all duties associated with operating the teleprompter, cameras, studio graphics and audio mixer for broadcast. Demonstrates proficiency in several areas and on at least two technical systems.

**** YOU'LL DO:

• Ensure studio is prepared and set-ups are complete; assign and set-up mics for on-air talent and conduct mic checks; coordinate studio position/placement for live shows; operate tele-prompter and cameras during live and taped shows
• Operate of various technical equipment including, but not limited to, graphics systems, VizRt and Newsticker. Perform audio mixing, coordinate satellite feeds and monitor usage/charging systems
• Assist technical director with trouble-shooting technical problems and effectively resolves/removes roadblocks as they occur during production in the studio.

• Successfully performed related duties of Studio Tech I for up to one year
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical systems and floor operations
• Readily learn and apply training, new techniques and independent judgment
• Must be able to work a studio lift

• Employees are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes.
• Hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, or exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases in work setting.
