We are working on a fun docu-series and need to find a solid and experienced Field Producer to join our team! This person will need to have experience working on both sides of the aisle in both story and logistics.
 
We are looking for someone who has a lot of experience on the creative side of things (breaking down the creative outlines into beat sheets, writing interview questions, and helping to brainstorm upcoming episodes), but we also need someone who has experience in logistics, (finding and booking locations, building schedules, and handling more logistical responsibilities.) There are a few other producers, so you won't be responsible for all of these duties at once, but experience in both creative and logistics is a must. Please also highlight any experience you may have in calling out camera shots.

Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude are a must. We are looking for someone who is a go-getter, proactive, and can maintain a calm, professional, and easy-going attitude. (and a fun sense of humor is a bonus!)

Job Description

**** *** 48 is seeking a News Anchor/MMJ responsible for the on-air delivery of daily newscasts. The ideal candidate will also shoot, write & edit news stories for all our platforms, including broadcast, web, social *** , and OTT. They will work closely with producers to ensure stories are accurately written and presented on all platforms.

Responsibilities

Present newscasts to the viewer in a professional manner, including breaking news, both during live newscasts, outside regularly scheduled newscasts, and on all our news platforms, including FAST, digital, social *** , and OTT.
Must be able to do live translation of English language press conferences/events into Spanish
Conduct research to write and present stories that attract the viewer's interest
Will shoot, write & edit news stories for the station's newscasts, recorded programs, and/or other live station broadcasts - either in the studio or out on location.
Write and produce stories, headlines, and news updates for broadcast and all digital platforms, including OTT.
Present a completed story with fair, accurate and community-relevant content
Generate ideas and report breaking news either in the studio or on location
Coordinate, organize, and conduct interviews
Actively involved in sharing news content on Social *** platforms
Follow *** - *** Social *** Policies and Standards
Make appearances before social and civic groups and at schools and colleges on behalf of the station
Must be knowledgeable on daily news events, aware of past events, and understand news in the Northern & Central California market.
Quickly adjust to late changes and be aggressive in breaking news coverage.
Ability to turn stories in Spanish for *** and English for our *** Bay Area sister station.
Must understand the station's mission and priorities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a television reporter; Anchoring Experience
Shooting and Editing Skills with various editing software including Edius
BA or BS in Journalism, Communications or Political Science preferred.
Must have excellent writing skills in Spanish Language as well as very strong speech skills
Must be able to ad-lib effortlessly in various types of situations, particularly breaking news
Enterprise reporting skills preferred. Strong live reporting skills are necessary.
Must be able to handle working under the pressure of intense deadlines.
Must be able to work effectively with others in a team environment
Must have a flexible hours, including nights and weekends, with the ability to work any of a 24x7 shifts and willingness to work long hours and holidays with short notice
