Meredith Video seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic Associate Producer with strong copy-editing skills and a passion for visual storytelling to adapt articles into short form video. You must exhibit strong writing skills and an ability to collaborate with the creative team to ensure quality, consistency, and timeliness of material. You’ll actively monitor website traffic, identify trending articles, move quickly to adapt them into videos, and publish under a tight deadline. Prior video production and post-production experience is not required.
This position has a 1 month trial period with a possibility of full-time employment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create video content using stock assets.
Produce original, clear and credible copy.
Ensure brand guidelines and voice are adhered to in all executions.
Respond to all requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner.
Support peers by reviewing work to ensure zero errors in work.
Source assets to support content ideas.
Evaluate competitive landscape and suggests new content ideas.
Publish video content on brand websites.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR...
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Flawless spelling and grammar; able to proofread at a high level with little to no errors.
Able to maintain deadlines at a constant level.
Can distill flat content into concise video copy.
Understands writing applications in traditional and emerging channels.
Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
Self-starter and independent worker.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong problem-solving mindset.
Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and communicate progress.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
II. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
30% Adapt digital article content into concise, grammatically correct and engaging video copy.
60% Create videos using a cloud-based editing tool.
10% Publish the video on brand websites.

Education: Bachelors
Experience: 1-2 years copy editing experience
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Copy Editing, video journalism, research
