ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
About the role:
The Associate Producer role will provide overall support to the corporate segment of our production team and will
provide direct support to individual producers. The ideal candidate will excel working in a
fast-paced environment on all aspects of pre-production, field work, and post-production. Ability
to manage one’s time while supporting multiple simultaneous projects is key.
This position will be fully remote and would preferably be based in New York City, but candidates outside of NYC
can be considered. Given that the Associate Producer will support various Producers on the
team, the clients they will interact with could range from corporate clients, to mission-based
clients, and potentially even to political candidates, although the concentration of this position will be supporting corporate client accounts.
This is a full-time salaried position and will report to a Supervising Producer.

HardPin Media is a multimedia production company founded on the heels of President
Obama’s 2012 re-election. Our founding members traveled alongside the president to create
inspiring stories of supporters, capture Obama’s backstage moments, cast record-breaking live
streams, and help reinforce the narrative of the re-election campaign.
While on the road, we discovered our passion for the use of storytelling to drive home a
message. And we saw firsthand how that message, when delivered with empathy and finesse,
resonated with so many viewers and inspired them to act.

their voices and maximize their impact by creating compelling narratives and helping them find
their voice and communicate it to others.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Help create & edit budgets and scope of work documents
● Work with Production Management and Operations to streamline logistics for projects
(travel, permits etc..)
● Streamline and format internal project notes, and keep shoot details organized.
● Support producers in pre-production by managing client communications, taking notes,
and supporting logistical efforts, freelancer outreach and communication.
● Support producers in post production: Can include managing client notes process, some
client communication, executing project wrap duties.
● Potential for managing smaller projects based on proven ability and successful track
record.
● +/- 30% travel (all travel costs covered)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
● 2-3 years of production related experience
● Strong organizational skills / attention to detail
● Professional email and on-set demeanor
● Self-starter, highly motivated
● Intermediate to advanced proficiency in G-suite and typical office software
● Proficient in Adobe Premier and other creative cloud suites preferred but not required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● New York City/East Coast based
● BA in a related field preferred but not required
● Valid driver's license and ability to drive
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands include regular attendance, keyboarding, sitting for long periods (at least 5
hours a day). Ability to use a computer and telephone. Ability to travel by plane, car and other
conveyances within the U.S. Occasional lifting for event setup/preparation may be applicable.
