Oprah Daily - the multiplatform lifestyle brand from Oprah Winfrey and *** Magazines that is making it a daily practice to live your best life - seeks an Associate Producer to help with its video operation. This Associate Producer will be responsible for creating content to support original videos. The role will require the ability to juggle multiple projects, assist with research, casting/booking efforts, element pulling and working closely with video editors, producers, talent and outside vendors. The Associate Producer must have a thorough communication style, be nimble and have the ability to assist in the effort to produce video at scale and on short notice, and have a passion for the digital video landscape. Familiarity with and a passion for the Oprah brand is a must.

What you'll do:

Assist the Senior Producer in producing videos that feature both staff talent and outside talent
Identify and pitch new video talent who have expertise in wellness, health and self-care
Contribute to ideation and development efforts for existing and new franchises
Work with the video team to build a library of original video content
Write scripts for various video franchises and do cut downs on post production scripts
Assist with live productions
Manage the production calendar for the video team
Coordinate guest bookings in person and remote
Coordinate crew logistics, transportation, and *** delivery for production
Work with editorial and social *** teams to coordinate delivery of content
Some *** management and production coordination

Who you are:

You are a creative thinker with the ability to find new ways to present video content.
You stay on top of the latest trends, especially as they pertain to wellness and self-care.
You have some field production, post-production and live experience.
You have a minimum of 3 years creative production experience and a well-rounded list of credits and clips, demonstrating experience in both traditional and digital video landscapes - including for social *** .
You have a passion and curiosity for multiple genres, and an understanding of the digital landscape and prestige digital production.
You are deadline driven and results oriented.
You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are a problem solver by nature.
You have the ability to work an extended schedule as productions require.

The base salary for this role is *** ween $64,000 and $66,625 . The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future .

Your Role Accountabilities...

The Associate Producer responsibilities include, but are not limited to: viewing and selecting the strongest and most accurate video elements (packages, sound-bites, B-roll, etc.) for a newscast. APs should be familiar with all important stories and the elements that go with them. They communicate show needs with writers, producers, and assignment desks. Other responsibilities include ordering and/or producing graphics, reporter packages, social *** segments as well as prepare editing requests and use technological tools to research and gather archive video. APs make sure all video elements are prepared properly for air and that *** source records include accurate details. They work in the front row of the control room to communicate the status of video elements and ensure best elements are available quickly.

Your Qualifications & Experience...

• Two years as an AP, writer/producer or producer in local news, cable or at the network level.
• Must have strong news awareness and production skills, the desire to work in a 24-hour newsroom environment and the ability to react quickly and calmly to breaking news situations.
• The candidate must be able to handle themselves professionally in changing and challenging situations and be able to react quickly under duress.
• Knowledge of iNews is extremely beneficial.
• Understanding of graphics, social *** and non-linear production is essential.
• Ideal candidate must be aggressive and be able to adapt to changing technology, demonstrate strong editorial judgment and be willing to work whenever needed.
