The Sales Planner is primarily responsible for the development of strategic One Platform Proposals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Proposal Creation:

Liaise with One Platform Sales/Marketing partners to ensure all contractual obligations are met
Lead in the creation of One Platform Sales proposals for incoming RFP's that meet advertiser and category objectives
Address client needs while highlighting the value and capabilities of the One Platform sales strategy
Build One Platform linear *** plans and schedule units based on inventory avails across the linear portfolio
Build Digital Cflight plans across ELG, Hispanic, News & Broadcast
Prepare and revise One Platform Upfront & Scatter sales plans that maximize the use of inventory across the portfolio while fulfilling agency/client requirements
Collaborate and brainstorm with Agency Partnerships, Client Partnerships, the Account Executive and Strategic Planning management in the creation of proactive and strategic proposals

How you'll make an impact:

The Senior Staff Software Engineer will be primarily responsible for the development and execution of software for *** Satellite Radio systems.

In this role, the Broadcast Technician will be responsible for equipment operation to support production for live and pre-taped shows for air.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must have strong technical proficiency and operate various studio, news, and control room equipment such as live production automation systems, satellite, microwave, and bonded cell receive systems, studio camera control and operation, audio console and wireless mic/IFB systems, teleprompter, and floor directing.
• Make "on the fly" changes, switching shots, camera angles, graphics and more
• Monitor video broadcasting equipment and resolve technical issues
• Ensure that all equipment is prepared for broadcast
• Serve as a resource for hands-on response to broadcast hub technical issues, live streaming, and certain building system functions
• Facilitate technical operations for breaking news and weather cut-ins; assist News Department with crawls and bulletins.
• Consult and communicate with engineering management and other engineers on technical issues as required.
• Perform other duties as directed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven record of effective troubleshooting under pressure on technical systems critical to the broadcast and live streaming plant
• Knowledge of computer networking, broadcast automation and workflow systems
• Experience with editing content using non-linear editing systems, audio operation and camera or graphics experience
• Experience working with microwave, satellite, and bonded cell receive systems and transmission vehicles is a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION
A Photographer/Editor operates camera and editing equipment for the purpose of gathering the news and documenting society. The primary role of the photographer/editor is the comprehensive depiction of the subject at hand. This individual will both shoot and edit material for station broadcasts and operate the equipment responsible for transmitting gathered material back to the station. Candidate will shoot and edit news stories and special events. They must operate live truck and other ENG equipment, as well as establish live shots, as required by the news department. The individual must operate communications equipment in live trucks. They must operate equipment in ENG receive including tuning in microwave and live shots; utilizing machines for record/dub/edit purposes; downlinking satellite transmissions. This person must utilize various communications equipment for both in-house and field communications. This person must also understand the use of good lighting, photographic, audio and editing techniques as required in the production of quality news. Must have ability to help plan major event coverage including site checks, troubleshooting and follow-up. Perform other duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, journalism or broadcasting required. Minimum of five years' experience as a news photographer/editor. Knowledge of basic journalism and digital production techniques. Experience with the operation of a P2 camera, P2 editing equipment, and non-linear experience. Demonstrated ability to work as a team with other journalists. Must have an understanding of how to utilize social *** to gain more newscast viewers and draw more consumers to *** 2detroit.com and the *** 2 Facebook page.
