PGA TOUR Entertainment is looking for camera assists for the ESPN+ Coverage of the RBC Canadian Open at St. George's Country Club in Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a great opportunity for golf enthusiasts, staff or production students, or those with limited TV experience and is a paid position.
Here is the general information on the position: they would assist a camera person around the golf course and help him/her with the gear (setting up tripod, bringing camera batteries, etc.) as needed.
Orientation Day: Wednesday, June 8th 1pm - This day would involve coming to the TV compound, learning the position and training with your assigned camera person
Broadcast Days: Thursday, June 9th to 12th - These are very long days, starting before daylight and ending at the completion of the broadcast window at the end of each evening. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and you will be given break time throughout the day.
Other Considerations:
• Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of golf etiquette is very helpful.
• The position pays $15 per hour and are guaranteed a minimum of 8 hours per day. Broadcast days will be as many as 15 hours and overtime is paid daily at time and a half after 8 hours of work each day.
• Must work all five days of the event.
• These are local positions so there is no compensation for travel, hotel, per diem or expenses.
• This is a physical position that includes carrying a 25 pound tripod, walking parts of the course, and navigating crowds. Must be comfortable with some physical labor.
