Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).

Looking for a Costume Designer for an upcoming feature that will be filming in New Milford, CT for a 20 day shoot in March 2022. Shoot dates run from the 2nd of March through the 30th of March. Right now, we are only looking for local crew, please only submit if you can be hired as a local and are within the New Milford area.

We will have daily covid testing provided on set, with crew getting rapid tested on set 2-3 times per week and testing for any new talent on a given shoot day.

Be ready to send resume. If you have a crew - local to Litchfield County - you usually work with, please make note of that in your application. We would eventually be interested in deferring to you.

We are seeking a creative and resourceful Costume Designer to join our team for an upcoming independent film. This is a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about storytelling through apparel, to bring characters to life in a visually compelling manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in costume design , with a keen ability to work within budget constraints and source materials creatively. This role requires collaboration with the director and actors to develop and execute a cohesive visual style that enhances the narrative and character development of the film.

As this is a low-budget independent project, we are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and is adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently. The Costume Designer will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of costume production from concept to final on-screen appearance, including sewing, alterations, and on-set adjustments. This position offers the chance to be intimately involved in the filmmaking process and to make a significant impact on the look and feel of the film. Candidates with a portfolio demonstrating previous work in a feature film(s) will be given preference.
