NYC-area production company is seeking a smart, hungry, and creative individual to join our ranks as a Development Assistant. This is an entry-level position with potential for growth in development, as well as production, post, and other departments. This position is a remote, work from home arrangement.

The ideal candidate:

- Has an aggressive and passionate desire to pursue a career in unscripted cable development.

- Wants to come up with the next hit show, and is willing to put in the work to make that happen.

- Is excited about networking among peers in the unscripted world, and is eager to grow into additional responsibilities and more senior roles.

- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. Has impeccable research skills, and can effectively communicate findings to the team while working remotely.

- Is proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Has relevant industry experience via internship or entry-level position.

Responsibilities Include:
- Provide administrative support to the VP of Development.

- Schedule calls and meetings; manage calendars.

- Screen and connect calls. Maintain professional phone etiquette.

- Collect signatures, scan, and maintain organized files of all contracts and legal documents.

-Maintain receipts; PO purchases and communicate with company accountant.

- Conduct research for concepts in development and write loglines, treatments, and episode breakdowns.

- Regularly scout IP, talent, and concepts for development.

- Identify, contact, and skype interview potential talent.

- Keep up with trade publications and stay abreast of target network programming.

- Assist with sizzle reel pre-production, production and post.
