OVERVIEW:

OBB MEDIA is seeking a full-time Development Assistant, with a focus and strong interest in unscripted content, at our West Hollywood headquarters and Hollywood Studio. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and prides themself on providing constant support to ensure smooth day-to-day activities. The right individual is genuinely passionate about creative development and production, has prior assistant experience, can prioritize their workload, effectively manage their time and remain extremely detail oriented while accurately handling high-volume daily tasks and scheduling. This is an on-site position and will support the development team to ensure projects run smoothly. There will be exposure across film, tv, digital, branded, and live content with an emphasis in unscripted.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support high volume day-to-day development tasks including, scheduling, updating and creating grids and submission logs, joining calls and note-taking, deck creation, research, logistics and travel, as directed.
Maintain unscripted team calendars and proactively flag concerns or potential conflicts.
Prioritize needs to ensure projects run smoothly while meeting all deadlines.
Support expense tracking, anticipate needs, compile receipts, flag potential concerns and work with internal teams to submit expense reports in a timely manner.
Researching vendors, rental pricing, auditing invoices and ordering supplies as directed.
Update and maintain crew and vendor grids, identify supplemental crew recommendations to the development team based upon budget and project needs.
Bring new development and project ideas, join development team meetings and research concepts to ensure viability and alignment with OBB target audience.
Function as a producer’s assistant on a project/as needed basis (including on-set creative/development/production responsibilities).
Provide backup support to headquarter offices.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years’ agency experience, or experience supporting multiple executives at a high-volume desk.
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in lieu thereof.
Passion for creative development and media trends is required. Comprehensive understanding of unscripted set work and best practices, a plus.
Hyper-focused, detail-oriented individual with a successful track record of strategically coordinating calendars seamlessly, anticipating needs, and maintaining smooth workflows.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a calm, professional and supportive disposition required, experience with budgets and expense reconciliation is a plus.
Ability to take direction, adjust to rapid changes, be proactive and provide thoughtful on the spot problem solving while maintaining a positive and collaborative demeanor.
Driven, client-centric self-starter with a sincere “no task too small, can do” attitude.
Thorough understanding of how to work with confidential information, ability to use good judgment and maintain discretion.
On-set experience, a plus.
Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
Movie Magic budgeting, AirTable, Photoshop and Premiere, and digital design experience via Canva, a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in a seated position for long periods of time.
Must be able to use fingers, hands and arms at a computer keyboard for long periods of time.
Must have the ability to speak clearly and distinctly and hear and be heard and understood in person and by telephone.
Must be able to stand, sit, reach, bend, stoop, walk up and down stairs and lift up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to visually and physically inspect areas of the work site.
Must be able to work in a standing and/or walking position for long periods of time.
Must be able to drive, have reliable transportation, a valid license and valid insurance (mileage is reimbursable).
Some travel is required for this role. Must be able to travel by car and airplane.

SCHEDULE:
This is a non-exempt on-site role expected to work Monday through Friday and have flexible availability after hours and on weekends as needed. Overtime hours may surpass 10+ hours weekly during busy periods but are not guaranteed. The hiring range for this position in West Hollywood, CA is $20 to $22 hourly. The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package including overtime, benefits, etc. This position is eligible for a full range of medical, dental, vision and 401(k) benefits.
