Established television production company is seeking a creative and driven Development Executive on a part-time freelance basis. This Development Executive conceives, writes and brings in new projects and manages them through the development process. Ideal candidate should be familiar with the unscripted development process, be up to date on current network mandates and have pre-existing relationships with buyers.
Description of duties:
Develop original unscripted programming, discover potential talent
Conceive and write concepts, flesh out show formats & develop pitch decks
Conduct recorded Skype/Zoom interviews and edit together casting tape
Participate in pitches to prospective buyers
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working in development and/or production at a network, studio, streamer, or production company.
Able to consistently create new ideas and discover new talent.
Ability to edit a big plus.
Rate: $1,000(USD)/month plus greenlight compensation upon sale of a show which includes a guaranteed minimum % of the production company fee, plus credits. This job is a month to month independent contractor position with great flexibility.
