- Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).
Seeking a DP who can work as a local in Evansville, IN for a mostly one-man-band interview and B-roll shoot for a true crime documentary series filming in early-mid July. Shoot will likely be 3-4 days with a prep day.
This shoot would be a bit on the unusual side, and we'd likely need to ask more of you than we normally would a DP. In order to maintain proper pandemic safety procedures, we'd have you working on your own with a two-camera seated interview setup, and interviewees cycling throughout the day. One or two of the days would also include some light B-roll at the same location.
Ordinarily we'd do this with two FS7's, lit with two Diva 400s and two 1x1 Astras, eyeline on A-cam with a producer calling in via an iPad rigged to an Eye Direct. Since you're flying solo for the shoot, we'd also need you to monitor audio, if that's something you feel comfortable handling in addition to the two cameras.
We'd also bring on an AC/DIT to help with media management each day, however pandemic procedures would require that that person work off-site, and a daily no-contact hand-off of media would need to be arranged.
At this time specific days are not yet locked due to pending interviewee availability, so dates may push.
Thanks, and stay safe!
