I'm a jazz/classical composer and producer. I'm serving as video producer on a new project for which I’m looking for a DP/camera operator.
With the economics of live music so troubled at the moment, we are exploring technological solutions allowing musicians to remotely collaborate regardless of distance and geography.
We are creating a Virtual Venue environment, where two or more artists, recorded separately in different locations, can be integrated into a seamless performance.
You can see a sample of the results here:

This effect can be achieved with each artist safely performing alone in a large, windowless studio near to where they reside, with only the audio engineers and camera operators in the studio. The director will direct the camera op via remote, and the producer and all other technical personnel will be remote as well.
For this project I am working with director Michael McQuilken. The project features jazz pianist Shelly Berg playing duets with four singers in four different cities. In Charlottesville we are recording Veronica Swift. We are looking for local cameramen/DPs who may have their own camera and lighting equipment.
Some knowledge of jazz/classical music would be great, adaptability and willingness to work collaboratively of course.
