Your New Role...

Responsible for developing new ideas, working with writers, and interfacing with editorial counterparts at publishing houses and interfacing with other members of the publishing community. Works independently to edit projects.

Your Role Responsibilities...

• Develops, edits, and manages a list of approximately 10-15 titles per year with minimal supervision from Sr. Editorial staff.This includes: providing line and overarching edits to authors; writing detailed plot and character outlines for ghostwritten and development projects; writing and editing cover and promotional copy; maintaining author and publisher schedules.
• Pitches and develops story and property ideas, from one-liners to full plot treatments. Development goal is to sell 4 original projects per year.
• Initiates and maintains relationships with writers (for existing and new projects), editors, publishers, and agents.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience...

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience in editorial book publishing. Experience in adult fiction - Book Club, Women's, Romance - and/or YA/Children's a plus.
• Experience in development preferred.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• BA/BS degree preferred

Knowledge/Skills

• Knowledge of the marketplace, in publishing, film, and television.

Job Summary/Description:

W *** 15 News in Madison, Wisconsin, is in search of a photojournalist and editor who excels at identifying, gathering and editing powerful images and compelling sound. The top candidate has a proven track record of producing content that is “on point” creatively, technically, and in a brand-focused way for TV and our digital platforms.

W *** photojournalists produce content for all of our platforms: for broadcast on W *** newscasts and for publication across the station's CTV, digital and social *** platforms, including w *** 15news.com.

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• The position includes solo work, as well as working with reporters and anchors on live shots, investigative/promotable content and special projects, including live, remote broadcasts.
• You will shoot and edit video for daily news broadcasts and all of the station’s digital platforms.
• You will embrace working with our awesome digital producers. This includes sharing updates, video and still images from the field as new information is learned.
• You must have solid news judgement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to problem solve. Writing skills are a plus. Our photographers don’t just “gather and hand off” their work. Qualifications/Requirements:

The *** *** Company is seeking a Senior Video Editor/Producer for our Sports initiatives. This individual will produce high-quality video projects from concept to post-production and delivery as an integral part of the operation for sports promotion and content. Work with creative leadership to develop direction, implement working methodologies, take ownership, and help lead large and small video projects, mentor peers, as well as coordinate with the Live production team. • Own post-production and workflow around featured promotion.

The Editor will be responsible for the editing and timely delivery of all different types of videos both in short and long format for all the News Network. This role will work closely with producers, reporters, and control room to ensure flawless execution of on-air products.

ABOUT YOU:

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Edit daily news stories, breaking news, special reports as assigned using non-linear, computer-based editing equipment.

We are offering a competitive pay along with benefits. This position is full-time, hourly, and SAG-AFTRA union. Compensation Range: $21.23 - $26.56 hourly.
