--True-Crime Editor--
Large Philly-based Television production company is seeking a motivated, talented, and experienced Avid Editor with a background in true-crime series to join its team. This person will be responsible for covering segments, producing creative transitions, and assembling acts / entire episodes. Avid experience and efficiency as well as a background with true-crime series are a must.

**PLEASE HIGHLIGHT 3 TRUE-CRIME PROJECTS YOU'VE RECENTLY WORKED ON**

Candidates must have a strong sense of story, be highly organized, creative, and be able to work autonomously for periods of time while maintaining productivity. The ability to receive feedback and apply it to your work is essential.

General Responsibilities:
• Cover segments in Avid
• Conceive of and produce transitions without the guidance of Story Producers
• Ability to address notes on your work and the work of others
• Capable of editing at various stages of post-production (Rough Cut, Fine Cut, Notes, etc.)
• Work with EPs and other story producers in constructing act breakdowns and narrative arcs
• Maintain the team’s organizational workflow within Avid and cloud-based documents
• Make creative decisions that contribute to the success of the final production

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of AVID experience

Requirements:
• Must have one of more true-crime editor credits
• Must have your own computer, Internet access, and ability to work remotely (you do NOT need to own Avid
software). That said, a willingness to work from a clean and safe edit environment in our offices will be
considered.
• Flexibility with your hours (you may be asked to work 4pm – 1am or 7am – 4pm)
• Strong sense of how music and sound design work together to assist in creating a compelling story
• Understanding of and experience with post-production workflows
• Meticulous attention to detail and time management

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Editing, Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or related field would be great but not mandatory.

· Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and other relevant editing software

· Previous experience Editing for YouTube is extremely important. We are open to those outside of YouTube but having this experience will mean you know the slight nuance that differs from traditional markets.

· Local to Raleigh North Carolina or willing to relocate to the area. (Must work in office M-F)

· General knowledge of sound libraries and other useful software that can be used to improve channel edits

· Strong communication skills and the ability to self-start while also being able to collaborate effectively within a team.

Job Summary/Description:

**** seeks a dynamic Web Producer/Video Editor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts and online content. This position will also work closely with the Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and news staff on the newscast and web/social *** content. In this position, you will edit video, work within the newscasts as a writer and writer/associate producer, and also develop content for all our digital platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Edit video on a deadline, working with the Producer towards a creative and informative newscast with emphasis on the viewers' interests
• Produce content for ****.com, and promote our coverage on our social *** feeds, funneling the audience to our site and our broadcast
• Adapt to breaking news and developing stories
• Communicate with anchors, field crews, and control room staff

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or a related field is desired
• 1-2 years of experience producing newscasts or news content online
• Must keep up with local, state, national and international events
• Organized; able to work with many personality types
• This position requires someone who can exercise discretion, best judgment, and has solid journalistic/ethical skills
