Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).

We are a small reality crew, shooting a 3rd season of a show for a major production company and major premium network. We are traveling in our main camera team and looking for some additional G&E support, local to the Dallas area, that can assist with our daily shoots. You would be joining our team of DP / B Cam Operator / AC / production support, and assisting with setup, lighting, load out, etc, for our 1 - 2 locations per day.

We travel with much of our gear, and supplement with some local rentals. Our standard crew for shoots in LA does not include this position, so we are essentially looking for some swing G&E support to assist and help make sure our setups and shoots are timely and functional in a city that we're not familiar with.

(we will be shooting in Dallas 1/6 - 1/7, and shooting in Austin 1/10 - 1/13, so if you have the ability to work as a local in both cities, we could bring you on for the full run that we're in Texas)

Job Summary:

Part of a team of electricians under the direction of the Facilities Manager applying an established work-order dispatch system. Responsible for maintaining all electrical related systems on The Woodlands campus.

Primary areas of attention are supporting technical production, transmission, and data center facilities and technical equipment rooms. Must have ability to work independently when needed, but should also have a consistent record of working well in a team environment. Ability to competently work with external contractors, sub-contractors and consultants is necessary.

The Corporate Real Estate Operations group is responsible for day-to-day facilities operations, capital planning, and engineering operations of owned and leased facilities to ensure business is conducted in a clean, safe, and efficient work environment and that the value of Company physical assets is protected and enhanced, adhering to the highest level of engineering standards

Responsibilities

Install, repair and maintain all electrical equipment and systems for The Woodlands facility infrastructure, including emergency generators, dual-ended substations, as well as the office building.
Work primarily indoors on main & branch circuit distribution, emergency power, UPS systems, motor controls, lighting, detection/monitoring equipment, and Fire Alarm systems.
Install power, data, voice and fiber optic cabling for office renovations and MAC (move, add, change) projects.
Maintain and operate a sophisticated electrical distribution system including diesel-driven emergency generators, paralleling switchgear, medium-voltage substations, main-tie-main distribution switchgear, redundant UPS systems, digital static transfer switches, and associated branch circuit distribution panels.
Perform Infrared Thermography testing and generate performance documentation reports.
Maintain updated electrical parts inventories.
First responder to general electrical and fire-alarm problems including equipment and distribution systems.
Assists in performing necessary commissioning, diagnostic, and maintenance procedures (such as field verification of system functions to ensure the proper operation of building automation systems).
Assists in the implementation of energy conservation measures by applying and/or modifying the existing building automation-system features.
Respond to customer ser *** requests in a timely manner.
Respond to emergency calls.
Prepares drawings and diagrams of system additions or revisions after installation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.Z

Basic Requirements

Demonstrated ability with operating and maintaining all aspects of power distribution including Medium voltage distribution systems, 13.8 kV synchronizing switchgear, dual-ended substations and UPS systems is required.
A thorough understanding of emergency generators and Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) as related to high-reliability, important environment is required.
Minimum 2 years of experience working on fire alarm systems installations, or other low-voltage systems installations including structured cabling.
Qualified applicants will possess a working knowledge of physical plant safety programs and shall be able to demonstrate understanding of fire life safety procedures and requirements.
A thorough understanding of NFPA 70, 70E and 70B.

Preferred Requirements

The successful candidate possesses a current state of TX Journeyman Electrician or Maintenance Electrician License for a minimum of 5 years.
Experience in critically important power systems in a Broadcast Technical environment.
Can fix and repair building-automation-system field cabinets, including communications equipment, printed circuit boards, power supplies, electrical/electronic controls, sensors, and transducers.

Troubleshoot equipment problems at one of the many restaurants to keep the food flowing.

Basic Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Ability to perform maintenance on food preparation and holding appliances/equipment. Understanding of and ability to operate under Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines and other food safety/sanitary guidelines. Must also be able to troubleshoot and repair gas and steam systems applied in commercial kitchen equipment.

You will be required to use 2-way radios, learn CMMS (MAXIMO work order system), attend/pass compliance and other training sessions to ensure accurate maintenance documentation
Electricians may work outdoors in all weather conditions, in an industrial workshop, in kitchens with wet/slippery surfaces, and may have occasional exposure to high temperatures, noise levels, and fumes
In addition to the physical tasks listed above, Electronic Technicians may need to push/pull and/or lift up to 10 lbs. constantly, up to 25 lbs. frequently, up to 75 lbs. occasionally and rarely up to/over 100 lbs.

Schedule Availability - Must be open to any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including weekends, holidays, with any combination of days off.
