Summary
The Studio Electrician will work across a wide variety of NFL Media studio productions. The function is to work with the Lighting Director to provide lighting services utilizing core electrical qualifications and competencies. The work can sometimes be physically demanding and requires manual handling and rigging, work at height and, operating a variety of man-lifts.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with a wide variety of internal and external production and planning teams, including. independent production companies, freelancers, suppliers, and contractors
Undertake planning of production related electrical and lighting equipment
Specify power and distribution systems and any resources requirements including for production objectives.
Rig, operate and de-rig production lighting and associated equipment, including generators where competent, and practical and effects lighting
Operate lighting consoles in simple set ups where competent
Undertake inspection, testing, commissioning, acceptance, or maintenance work on new or existing production owned installations or equipment, facilities and vehicles
Required Qualifications
5 years work experience using a range of television studio lighting equipment.
5 years work experience of operation and maintenance of all types of luminaries.
Knowledge and experience of operation and maintenance of dimmer circuits and other switch gear used in studios and on location
Experience in production lighting in broadcasting or a similar environment preferred
Knowledge of new technologies available in production lighting is essential.
Excellent interpersonal & communications skills required
Strong work ethic, positive attitude & leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities a must
Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment
Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, and weekends
Ability to carry 75lbs for up to 30 minutes at a time
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Other Key Attributes / Characteristics
Knowledge of DMX, IP Networking, and other lighting protocols.
Familiarity and experience working with 1080p, HDR, UHD, and 4k studio environments a plus.
Interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Physical Demands

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work in stressful environments.
