Hit doc series is looking for a few amazing experienced field producer/multi-cam directors to join the team in this new Covid-world!

Your skills include
As Camera Director:
-extensive experience field directing multi-camera crews (2-3 cameras) and understanding camera coverage and what’s needed for edits
-Ability to lead a field crew, have patience, respect for all positions and keep the crew morale up at all times
-You’re a leader and set the tone for the team, but also work well within the team too. Attitudes, egos and raised voices to anyone is not tolerated.

As Field Producer:
-Must be great with story and able to track multiple story lines unfolding in the field. No matter what you prepared to shoot, when something bigger/better or unexpected happens, must be able to adjust to new developments and track those new stories, sometimes throwing out the original plan all together
-Must know how to get story thru scene work and verite. We don’t shoot interviews or OTF’s so everything is done organically in the moment to tell our casts stories!
-Must be excellent and super approachable with talent as well as know how to build quick and trusting relationships off camera in order to get the best on camera content. Furthermore- must be excellent at maintaining those relationships long term.
-Must be able to connect and work with a pool of different types of personalities And have a tough skin that can handle cast diva moments
-Must be willing to be on camera when needed And the 4th wall is broken

Position: Is "Field Producer" and encompasses field producer who also directs multi-cameras and crew simultaneously

Location:
This position will be traveled to a location nationally and be embedded there with the crew in corporate housing for approximately 3 1/2 months. An initial quarantine period will be employed upon landing (paid, of course) and then Covid health and safety protocols will be implemented for you and your crew for the duration of your time embedded on location including wearing masks, Consistent sanitization of equipment, Filming mostly at exterior locations, temp checks and testing frequently, etc. What a strange new world!!

Please note:
**You Must have experience and know how to produce talent and track story while simultaneously calling camera shots and looking for the best visual ways to tell the story with the camera. Must be able to work in tandem with show DP and your A-cam that is on location with you to insure the best overall look from lighting to staging. And must be in constant communication with your EP and post team to identify holes in story that need addressed quickly and weekly.

Prep, Travel & Shoots
-This job shoots out of state. Prep happens before traveling remotely from your home and then on location while you’re embedded.
-Must stay in constant contact with your talent to get story/life updates and plan upcoming shoots while on the ground

-Prep: Responsible for creating beat sheets/shooting schedules
-In field: must be great with time management and report daily to EP with shoot/story updates and have weekly calls with your story team
-In field: You will be responsible for creating nightly hot sheets and making sure they're sent out nightly to EP and Supervisors

Ultimately, we're looking for those rare, special field producers out there that have the ability and confidence to "go with the flow" & truly have fun in the field, create and maintain a super positive working environment for the cast AND crew alike, but equally be focused, dedicated and know how to get the stories and pieces needed to tell them without burning bridges with the cast and all on a tight schedule. (And without burning out your cast and crew!)

-valid drivers license and ability to drive if/when needed

VITAL:
Again- please have extensive field producing experience in this genre. This is not a position for a new producer or AP ready to make the first jump to producer particularly in this new pandemic production world where we cannot do on site training extensively. 5+ years experience required as field producer in unscripted with a focus on doc-reality/docusoap is required and a true natural grasp of story and the pieces needed to translate that to compelling television.
