The Lead Audio Engineer (A1) will be responsible for the execution and operation of all live, hybrid & virtual audio experiences within the client performance venue, with a focus on high-level technical excellence and responsiveness to production needs while maintaining and pushing creative boundaries.
This position encompasses the following responsibilities:
Audio console operation & mixing. Ability to properly mix both broadcast and stage monitor mixes with exceptional professional quality.
Ensuring equipment is properly inventoried, maintained and calibrated to ensure optimal performance.
Ability to quickly patch all I/O, operate, and strike equipment as required for a multitude of theatrical performances and acts in a single day.
Ability to work with online workflow or process-driven tools for productions.
Partner closely with Broadcast Video Engineer to ensure seamless video broadcast execution.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that all creative content aligns with the brand and the technical capabilities of the facility’s audio systems.
Successful applicants should possess the following attributes:
Audio Engineering, Broadcast or Production experience with a minimum 5 years experience.
Clear and demonstrated understanding of the following technologies: Dante, Allan & Heath, Shure Wireless, QSC Q-SYS Systems, DSP Signal Processing.
Strong understanding of event logistics and technical problem solving.
Clear knowledge of producing both live & virtual experiences.
Familiarity with streaming live, hybrid and virtual broadcasts.
Knowledge of microphone types, usages, and placement.
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact, work productively and collaboratively with other production personnel.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
