We are currently looking for a lead editor for the new feature length social issue documentary we are starting this summer. This will be an ongoing 24-32hr a week position that will likely last at least two years. Requirements:
• 7+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience editing documentaries or reality TV is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to meet all deadlines.
• You can efficiently manage post production workflows.
• Work well collaborating in a small team environment.
• Possess strong creativity and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated storytelling abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Possess a strong work ethic, passion for your craft, and attention to detail.
These additional skills would be helpful, but are not required:
• Experience color grading.
• Experience designing motion graphics.
• Cinematography experience.
• Experience using asset management software.
• Photoshop knowledge is a plus.
Location: San Marcos, California.
Schedule: 24-32 hours per week. Typically 9am-5pm, Monday-Thurs but we have some flexibility with scheduling so you can do other freelance work.
Pay: $30/hr. This is a part-time hourly onsite position with some employer paid benefits, sick leave, and some paid vacation days.
