Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of post production experience and/or asset management
experience. Marketing experience with a focus on asset management will also be acceptable. The individual will need to
be detail oriented, with strong self and time management skills. Written and verbal communication, along with a good
understanding of building and maintaining client relationships is a must. The position has a heavy technical requirement, thus the individual must have strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
The type of personality that is successful in this role is eager, creative, organized and a problem solver. The individual
must have a positive attitude towards the work, team members and clients. Speed is very important, as is clear and
consistent communication with the Post team and management. The individual also must have a willingness to work
extended or non-standard hours when necessary. He or she will also need to be a strong advocate for the departement
and the established processes, with a willingness to hold others accountable to those processes.
Experience working directly with Information Technologies (IT) departments is preferred.
Description:
The Media Asset Manager and Assistant Editor role will be AMS employee embedded at Toyota facility. The individual
will report to AMS Studios manager, as well as Toyota department manager. He or she will work with producing/editing
team to execute established workflows and organize and maintain media assets on the company’s Sony NavigatorX
system.
The primary duty for the position is performing media asset management tasks for the department utilizing the Sony
NavigatorX tool. This includes but is not limited to the following:
● Loading materials to servers via the NavigatorX tool
● Maintaining media management logs for new materials, including card and drive storage management
● Creating and updating metadata tags for digital materials
● Loading, organizing, and maintaining legacy media materials for Toyota
● Creating and maintaining efficient workflows for asset management as it pertains to team members and Toyota
clients
● Server storage management, including backups and archive
While the media asset management will be the priority, additional assistant editing duties will be required. Task include
but are not limited to:
● Media ingest
● Project and media setup and organization
● Media transcodes
● Audio sync and multicam clip creation
● Server storage management
● File creation and sharing
● Project cleanup and archival
Additional tasks include but are not limited to:
● Regular check-ins with AMS Studios and Post Production managers, and regular updates with Toyota
department manager
● Regular meetings with Toyota team
● Reporting hours
● Identifying tools and processes to incorporate into department
Technical Qualifications:
● Adobe Production Studio - specifically Premiere Pro and Media Encoder
● Mac and Windows operating systems
● Must have strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
● Compression codecs, including QuickTime, DNxHD, etc.
● Microsoft and Google office suites
