Seeking Clearance / Post-Production Coordinator for Discovery Channel unscripted television series. This is a work-from-home position reporting to the Post-Production Supervisor, though candidates should be self-starters, confident in both roles of this hybrid position, and should be prepared to work autonomously.

Qualifications:
-Minimum of 3 years experience as a Post Coordinator and 3 years experience as a Clearance Coordinator (or equivalent) on unscripted television series
-Minimum of 1 project experience on Discovery Channel series
-Strong communication skills
-Professional and kind demeanor
-Familiarity with Public Domain and Fair Use
-Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs & Sheets, Slack, Avid, Clearpost (or equiv AQ tracking software)
-Experience with Discovery portal and deliverables requirements


Job Description

CLEARANCE
-Manage requests from story producers and editors to source stock clips from popular stock houses including Pond 5, Getty, etc.
-Track all 3rd party materials being imported into the system
-Track budget for any acquired footage that may be included in cut
-Work with Post-Production Supervisor and Producers to ensure creative needs related to AQ are met and remain within budget by the time of lock
-Watch down each cut (RC1, RC2, FC, LC) in step with EDL and make sure all releases have been obtained
-Research, distribute, and collect releases as necessary for people, locations, materials that the field production team was unable to obtain
-Work with Post Production Supervisor, Line Producer, and Legal to determine any clearance issues that may need to be released, blurred, or removed
-Work with Post-Production Supervisor, Line Producer, and Legal for reliance on Fair Use Doctrine and Public Domain

POST-PRODUCTION
-Schedule and communicate graphics, offline, online, and mix needs to various personnel and vendors
-Assist story producers and editors with technical issues
-Work with Production team to ensure all information from the field is being communicated to the Post-Production team in a timely, concise way
-Manage and track deliverables
