Busy New York City production company is looking for an EXPERIENCED Post Production Coordinator to work alongside a Post Supervisor to help with delivery of 3-4 projects. This position will work closely with the post supervisor and is responsible for an array of duties to ensure successful delivery including helping to manage offline editorial team and delivering all tape/digital masters. No paper deliverables would be the responsibility of this role.

This is not a technical position, but in-depth knowledge of Avid and post-production technology is a huge plus. Positive, hard-working attitude a must. Long-term position at the company is a possibility.

Job Summary/Description:

**** seeks a Video Editor/Digital Producer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day video and radio editing of our newscasts and develop content for all our digital platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Edit video on a deadline, working with producers to create dynamic and informative newscasts
- Produce content for ****.com, and promote our coverage on social *** feeds
- Adapt to breaking news
- Edit audio newscasts for use on radio broadcasts
- Occasional operation of studio teleprompter and various other duties as assigned will be required

Qualifications/Requirements:

- The successful candidate will be creative, extremely detail-oriented, and have very strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under deadline pressure
- Able to work well with a team
- Flexible to work mornings, nights, and weekends
- Able to sit and stand for extended periods
- Computer literacy is a must
- Strong grasp of visual design, grammar, and spelling
- While previous television experience is preferred, it is not required
- Experience with HD video production, social *** platforms, ENPS, and non-linear editing systems is a definite plus

40/29, the *** affiliate in Rogers has an opening for a Part time News Editor. You will cover news stories as assigned. You have an excellent eye for visual compelling storytelling and is passionate about combining writing and storytelling with great pictures and sound. You will report to the Chief Photographer.

Responsibilities

Edit stories, videos, and newscasts on tight deadlines
Maintain news archives
Operate electronic newsgathering equipment
Nonlinear editing using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid, and Edius for newscast elements including PKGs, VOs, VOSOTs, opens, teases and preproduction material
Collaborate with producers, reporters and managers to produce high quality stories
Ensure storage and organization of *** files
Maintain standards for all edited material
Taking in ENG and SNG feeds
Any other editing responsibilities as assigned by news managers

Requirements

Knowledge of nonlinear editing software
Proficiency editing with Adobe Premiere
Can handle and juggle multiple editing assignments under strict deadlines
Knowledge of current video production techniques
Familiarity with mass communications law and *** responsibilities
Record multiple feeds on a digital encoding system
Search for source materials from multiple outlets and platforms
Related military experience will be considered
In-person attendance is required
