Award-winning production company behind such films as DIG! and WE LIVE IN PUBLIC, BRAND: A SECOND COMING, and JUNGLETOWN is seeking qualified candidates for a Post Production Coordinator Position.
This job will cover a variety of tasks supporting a confidential new documentary shooting now. Multiple segments are being edited simultaneously, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating between the director, story producers, editors, archivalists, and AEs to ensure that everyone gets the appropriate information that they need on time!
This is a position for someone who is meticulous, loves their spreadsheets, and has some knowledge of AVID so that they can speak the lingo around the office. You are ORGANIZED and DETAIL-ORIENTED, and hate the idea of anything falling through the cracks. If that's not you -- no worries, but this position is not for you.
Primary Job tasks include:
Owning the archival tracker, and ensuring that cuts that need archival are flagged and tracked.
Owning the segments tracker -- to ensure that segments are being properly moved through the pipeline (i.e. becomes story produced, and has archival pulled for it) before moving along to the editor.
Review notes from the director and pull out GFX segments to deliver to the VFX Supervisor, Footage requests to the AE, Archival notes to the archivalist, etc.
Watching cuts down to ensure that there is no overlap of work being done.
You'll work in a fast-paced but fun small team environment with direct interface with the Director and Producer of the film. This is a no task too small, no task too big environment. Role could expand to include helping with other project and internal office needs.
Skills/ Requirements:
⁃Should have working knowledge of Avid and Google Drive
⁃A clear sense of time management and ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
⁃Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
⁃Ability to be proactive, resourceful, flexible and exhibit confidence under pressure
⁃Savviness in storytelling is a plus
⁃Maintain standards of strict confidentiality, with respect to all matters both professional and personal
⁃Team player with a positive & easy-going manner to handle varied personalities, responsibilities and assignments
Qualifications:
⁃Bachelor’s degree in Film/Media, Communications, Business or related field
⁃Previous entertainment industry experience is preferred but not required
