THE ROLE
We are looking for a Producer to bring their production skills to our team full time to help lead our Film & TV and commercial projects’ planning, logistics, and execution. We are looking for a resourceful & passionate problem solver that can work seamlessly within our Creative, Production, and Post-Production departments. You will primarily work alongside our Head of Production during the pre-production and production stages.

We are currently working fully remote with the option to work from our LA office. Productions will require physical attendance on set.

THE DUTIES:
Interface with clients alongside the HOP to make sure their needs are met
Source, vet, and book freelance crew members
Manage running production budgets
Quote negotiation with various production vendors
Securing vehicles, production supplies, equipment rentals, etc
Assisting with talent negotiations and usage rights
Assisting with building call sheets, location research, casting process

THE REQUIREMENTS AND PLUSES:
LA based
2-3 years of physical production experience
Proficiency in HotBudget (MovieMagic a plus)
Great organizational, time management, and problem solving skills

Salary: $62,400 - $75,000

The right candidate will have a track record of being creative and aggressive, have the ability to make decisions and communicate the plan in a clear, concise manner. We expect excellent news judgment and a can-do attitude. Candidates must have a proven track record of winning the big story, breaking news and weather. Candidates must be fast and calm under pressure and able to play well in a room of same-minded pros.

Job Responsibilities:

Selecting, researching and writing compelling content for live newscasts to make the newscast an "experience" for viewers
Working with news management to execute the vision and brand of the news organization
Showcasing content and anchors in order to win the big story and make the newscast visually compelling and memorable
Communicating, coordinating and executing creative vision with team of anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, editors and production staff
Posting to digital platforms including Facebook when necessary
In-person attendance is required

Qualifications Requirements:

Excellent writing, spelling, grammar and copy-editing skills
Ability to multi-task and coordinate several crews and responsibilities simultaneously
An ability to summarize information into easy-to-understand components
Creative presentation style, and ability to showcase all resources and elements
Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards
Must be available to work holidays, shifts that include nights, weekends and overnights, and flexible with schedule to be available during severe weather and breaking news

Education:

College degree in broadcast journalism, broadcast news, or related field or equivalent work experience
