Looking for someone to handle event coverage, b-roll and simple interviews for a variety of San Francisco projects coming up later in the summer (whenever the C19 virus allows). Need someone with event experience and can pretty much operate as a one-man-band.

The perfect candidate will own his/her own 4k camera, support, media, batteries and, ideally, some basic sound gear. As far as the sound gear goes, an on-board mic and a wireless lav is all we really need. If it becomes more complicated than that, we will provide a sound mixer and possibly a PA to assist you.

Along with your gear, I would like to see some links to relevant work if you have. If you don't have much event stuff to share, documentary content is good too... just trying to get a sense of your eye and ability to find the shot at these sometimes chaotic events.

Job Description

**** *** 48 is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and skilled multiplatform content producer to join our award-winning team. The candidate will be responsible for creating content for our broadcast and digital platforms in Spanish. In this role, the multiplatform content producer will develop original content focusing on news in the Bay Area and Northern California. This person will work closely with producers, assignment editors, reporters, and anchors to write, edit, and gather content on all **** platforms, linear and digital, including FAST. This individual will be responsible for writing, editing, building graphics, and sometimes filling in as a line producer. The Field Producer brainstorms and pitches ideas, researches topics and works closely with reporter(s) to advance stories, break news and produce segments both in studio and in the field.

Implements daily tasks assigned from the Producer and Talent to meet broadcast deadlines.
Works with Producers and Talent on following programming clocks and on-air schedule.
Pulls audio clips from interviews and other recorded audio and posts clips to social *** as assigned.
Assists Producer with setting up pre-taped interviews and pre-show editing.
Works with Producers to create/edit "Best of..." programs from archives of past shows for weekend or special re-broadcasting needs
May provide host with news updates and breaking stories, on occasion
Performs other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

BS/BA Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in politics/news preferred
At least one year experience running an audio board and screening phone calls (internship or college experience will suffice.)
Knowledge of broadcast systems and experience with daily show production
Familiarity with politics and strong journalism skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment; ability to work under deadline pressure
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
