Must be driving distance from these locations. Must have competition experience. Interest and knowledge about design, furniture design, woodwork, mechanical, or metal work. Experience on process shows is a must. Must be a one manned tech-savvy unit that can troubleshoot on the fly. You will be covering a five day small process build. Our dates are between August 30th and September 12th. 2 prep days and 5 shoot days.

Job Description

**** *** 48 is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and skilled multiplatform content producer to join our award-winning team. The candidate will be responsible for creating content for our broadcast and digital platforms in Spanish. In this role, the multiplatform content producer will develop original content focusing on news in the Bay Area and Northern California. This person will work closely with producers, assignment editors, reporters, and anchors to write, edit, and gather content on all **** platforms, linear and digital, including FAST. This individual will be responsible for writing, editing, building graphics, and sometimes filling in as a line producer. Must be willing to work at the station in San Jose or any other part of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Field Producer, ***

The Field Producer brainstorms and pitches ideas, researches topics and works closely with reporter(s) to advance stories, break news and produce segments both in studio and in the field.

What you'll do:

Working both independently and with reporters/anchors to produce original business news content, primarily for broadcast and additionally for digital and social.
Production responsibilities may include research, conducting interviews, writing and editing, field producing and overseeing editing.
Pitching story ideas and working on assigned stories developed by the editorial planning team.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with, and being knowledgeable of and current on companies in the universe of coverage.
Communicating clearly with reporter and field production crews to determine best coverage plan and live remote locations.
Maintaining all video/digital records, feed necessary and relevant video to bureau/headquarters, communicate to editors and/or desk producers how video should be cut/taken to air.
Communicating with *** News desk editors on available live times, understanding and owning all live hit requests, disseminating hit times to reporter and team on the ground. Working with editors to create video elements for reporter live hits and produce packages, creating chyron elements in show rundowns, making sure all elements are done correctly.
Alerting reporter to any time changes or timing issues with hit.
Booking taped and live interview segments, thoroughly researching the guest/topic and conducting pre-interviews.
Taking ownership of the segment from pitch to production, including but not limited to: updating *** guest tracker, booking feeds, collecting relevant video, working with editors to cut elements for segment, summarizing pre interview for reporter or anchor, making certain of correct spelling and pronunciation of guest names and adhering to *** 's booking policies.
Planning and contributing to digital and social coverage.
Keeping up-to-date on universe of coverage, flagging upcoming events in designated sectors to *** editorial planning team.

At least one year experience running an audio board and screening phone calls (internship or college experience will suffice.)
Knowledge of broadcast systems and experience with daily show production
Familiarity with politics and strong journalism skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment; ability to work under deadline pressure
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
