Job DescriptionPLEASE NOTE: This is a part-time project / limited term position. Engagement will be per event/assignment based upon business need. Employment can be amended or terminated as deliverables for the assignment are completed. The
Highlights Production Assistantis responsible for cutting highlights for *** & College Football games plus College Basketball games.
Note:Football season (Late August to January) and College Basketball season (November to early March).
Responsibilities:
- Produce short form highlights in an Avid or EVS setting that summarize the story of the game with time limitations while maintaining editorial sensibilities and shot sheet accuracy under time constraints/deadlines
- Cut pre & post-game interviews using sound editorial judgement and/or at the direction of the Producer / Playback Producer
- Work quickly and effectively to communicatewith Producers, Directors, and EVS operators
- Secure video and audio footage to be used in highlight packages
- Multitask and perform highlight responsibilities while simultaneously listening to our On-Air Talent and Producers
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelors' Degreeor equivalent work experience
- One (1+) yearminimum of professional production experience in production
- Possess alevel of sports knowledge, especially football and basketball
Desired Characteristics:
- Deep familiarity and tactical understanding of *** , College Football and College Basketball
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- High level of initiative
- Team player
