Your New Role...

The Temporary Production Assistant for *** 's AC360 works closely with show producers to find best video and elements for segments and packages within *** systems and elsewhere.

Your Role Accountabilities...

The Production Assistant cuts soundbites and VOs, helps producers gather elements for in-house packages, and orders and creates graphics. Each PA is responsible for calling elements in the control room, and for pitching both package and guest ideas. They help producers with research for guest segments, and must work closely with rights and clearances, affiliate desk and assignment desks to ensure best video is used and sourced properly. The Production Assistant must code video and create banners, and work under extremely tight deadlines. The PA will also work closely in the control room with writers, line producer and senior producers on best sound bites and VOs for live reads and teases.

Must be able to regularly work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require.

Your Qualifications & Experience...

A bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience.

One year of production or related experience with some experience in video and graphics.

Television/Broadcasting background is preferred.

Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Strong writing skills.

Able to juggle many tasks at once.

Experience in editing a plus.

Job Description

This is a part-time project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 6 - 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

As a Production Assistant, you are responsible for assisting production personnel in all phases of sports production for *** 's Sunday Night Football.

Responsibilities:

Organize weekly edit projects for producers and editors
Gather video and photo assets to use in packages and other elements.
Reach out to PR teams, *** agents, and third parties for asset collection
Pitch game ideas in weekly meetings with the assigned production team
Help create select sequences for producers to use when editing teases - assisting with shot selection and securing footage
Restore and manage offline *** and retrieve archived assets from MAM
Archive and catalogue footage
Create screeners to send out to the production team and other parties
Create and log melts for SNF game and distribute to various networks
Clip off production elements that aired during games each week
Assist with the production of Sunday Night Football's Carrie Underwood Open each week
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
Key liaison to the lead producers of SNF
Responsible for relaying and disseminating information on a weekly basis to the production staff of SNF
Ability to dissect the intricacies of football using graphics and telestration
Run the edit for sports Emmy submissions throughout the year - clipping off Emmy segments from games to create 'selects' cutdowns

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Bachelors' Degree or equivalent work experience
1-2 years' minimum of professional production experience
