This person will be running cabling, staging computers, monitoring camera operators, running errands, inventory, packing up equipment, and whatever else is necessary.

Must have great attention to detail. Must be able to lift 75lbs.

Responsibilities:

Produce short form highlights in an Avid or EVS setting that summarize the story of the game with time limitations while maintaining editorial sensibilities and shot sheet accuracy under time constraints/deadlines
Cut pre & post-game interviews using sound editorial judgement and/or at the direction of the Producer / Playback Producer
Work quickly and effectively to communicatewith Producers, Directors, and EVS operators
Secure video and audio footage to be used in highlight packages

Job Description

This is a part-time project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 6 - 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

As a Digitization Production Assistant, you will handle day-to-day and long-term asset management support for the operations team working in a shared storage environment. You will help manage what production material is stored and/or archived, while also working with various production teams to fulfill footage requests.

Responsibilities:

Helpthe *** Sports Group with digitizing the videotape, disc and film archive
Organize and enter metadata for videotapes, discs and film reels in the *** Sports Group's physical *** tracking system
Review all physical libraries to determine which assets should be digitized
Prepare tapes to be sent out of house to be digitized
Assist with the editing of metadata and trimming for new digital files
Track physical *** shipments coming back to the *** Sports Group facility and prepare them to be sent out for long-term storage
Support all of *** 's production teams with footage searches, restores, EDLs, and screeners
Ensure operationally that LTO/ODA assets are being updated as they move throughout the building as they're critical to our operations

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

BS/BA degree in a relevant TV Production or related field; orequivalent work experience
Minimum one (1+) yearof familiarity with use of Avid non-linear editing software and Avid Interplay *** asset management softwareor similar NLE
Minimum one (1+) yearexperience supporting Windows operating environment
Minimum one (1+) yearof prior studio/remote sports production experience
Posses a level of sports knowledge

Responsibilities:

Assist producers with logging *** , shooting elements, finding file video and clearing new imagery for news-of-day and feature spots

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and communicate weekly schedules for writers, reporters, and editors.
Serve as the liaison and gatekeeper to internal and external stakeholders including talent, staff, agents, and production companies.
Be available as needed during off hours and weekends in support of the SVP and the digital team.
Conduct story research & production work for Outkick podcasts & streaming shows.
Provide administrative support to the SVP of *** News Digital Sports and Outkick. This includes, but is not limited, to scheduling, travel arrangements, and expense reports.
Assist editors by pitching stories and pulling in wire.
Utilize real-time analytics tools to determine desired content placements.
Have a creative and sharp eye for producing compelling photo montages and illustrations that can be used on dotcom and social *** platforms.
Assist the social *** team with producing Instagram/Facebook stories.
Monitor live streams and television appearances for use on the OutKick platforms.
Collaborate and produce photo illustrations and montages
Work with multiple teams across *** Digital and Outkick on administrative and editorial matters.
Work closely with editors, producers, and talent.
Assist Talent with live stream operations as needed.

Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field or study preferred, or equivalent experience.
Strong work ethic and desire to learn across several levels.
Knowledge and interest in sports, culture, and current events.
Ability to consistently multi-task.
Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays in conjunction with SVP, supporting that office's responsibilities across different verticals.
A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook, and a can-do attitude.
Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
Knowledge of Digital and News Gathering tools is preferred.
