Our sports digital content company is looking for a temporary freelance Production Manager to join our production operations team. This person will be responsible for the day to day logistics, financials, and overall operations across various components of all video content production. This Production Manager will be responsible for carrying out communication between internal and external parties, to ensure that all video content production is running smoothly, efficiently, on time, and on budget.
In this role, you will:
- Work with the Production & Operations Department to improve processes and workflows between production management, operations, legal, accounting and finance teams
- Work directly with Producers on revenue-generating campaigns to create production plans and schedules that fit within the creative scope of the project and parameters of the budget
- Be the lead in production operations on a variety of campaigns, focusing primarily on branded but also liaising with teams on licensing and editorial campaigns
- Serve as the production operations lead on set for shoots both in New York City, as well as shoots that will require travel outside of NYC
- Coordinate all aspects of any given video content production including but not limited to - risk analysis and coordination with our legal team for all paperwork and contracts pertaining to a production, the booking of locations, crews, equipment, catering/crafty, props, etc.
- Help ensure that content is captured within budget parameters and that all parties working under any specific campaign are spending at or below the budget set forth
- Consistent tracking of actual spends across campaigns and revising estimated final costs accordingly
- Assist in the payment creation for purchase orders, and the reconciliation of company credit cards for all content captures in a timely manner
- Help the production operations team maintain an internal software database containing data from various points of production
Who we’re looking for:
- 3-5 years experience in a production management or similar operational role, preferably in digital media, TV, and/or film
- Must be an organized, quick learner, and have the ability to handle multiple projects at a time, especially when your projects are in various stages
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and keep calm under pressure
- Must possess a positive attitude and have great communication skills when speaking with both internal and external parties
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiar with various software for tracking and budgeting such as Movie Magic, and willing to learn new software specific to company
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
