Multi-city shoot

One day shoot in Wichita. Prep days and scout to be discussed. We will travel you in and house your for scout and shoot, but you MUST have local connections - candidates in Wichita, Oklahoma City or Kansas City preferred. Shoot tentatively 10/11- May shift a a day and may shoot on that Saturday. Must be available for prep keep.

JOB SUMMARY:

Production Managers are responsible for guiding productions through our workflow pipeline, ensuring that all aspects of a production are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role serves as a production’s job owner while footage is being produced, ensuring that projects are resourced and assigned appropriately, and acting as a liaison between client pods and production teams. Production Managers report to the Manager of Production Operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive footage needs and creative briefs, along with priority guidelines and budget allocations from Supervising Producers, and effectively translate them into detailed production schedules with work-back dates and deadlines for pre-production milestones.

Work with the rest of the Production Operations team to ensure smooth and proper flow of jobs through the production pipeline - coordinating studio and on-location shoot schedules and resources when possible to maximize effectiveness of the team.

Effectively communicate production updates to creative stakeholders.

Manage all logistical and planning elements for a rotating roster of productions:
- Schedule and attend pre-production / kick-off meetings with relevant stakeholders and talent.
- Collaborate with studio operations / creative production staff to ensure proper stages, equipment, people, and products are booked for productions.
- Onboard freelance content creators, producers, and directors for production bookings, including director/lead, on screen talent, and other support roles as deemed necessary for the shoot.
- Vet and hire freelance support crew (cinematographers, food stylists, PAs, etc) as needed.
- Approve purchases and rentals for productions, ensuring adherence to approved budgets.

Delegate to Production Coordinators, or complete as needed:
- Work with Casting Associates, Studio Operations staff, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely procurement and shipping of client products needed for production.
- Ensure all documents pertaining to the production are filled out and accurate; including shot lists, production reports, wrap notes, script notes, etc.
- Coordinate and distribute production schedules, call sheets, etc.
- Collaborate with studio operations to hire freelance crew, as needed.
- Collect releases, permits, and other paperwork as needed.
- Keep up-to-date on general knowledge of payroll law and TS-specific process, including overtime laws, meal penalties, rate cards, kit rentals, mileage and reimbursements.
- Complete purchases and rentals for productions as needed, and log expenses.

Approve and track all production expenses, rentals and purchases, ensuring adherence to allotted production budgets as set by Supervising Producers and company best-practices.

Effectively use our project management systems (Monday.com, Float, etc) to accurately communicate the status of jobs in various stages of production.

Manage and provide budget actuals to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.

Comply with and help enforce all on-set safety protocols, set etiquette, and professional conduct standards on all productions.


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

3-5 years of experience in production management/line producing, preferably in film, digital media, or advertising industry

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong customer service and solution oriented mindset.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members.
People management experience of at least a year

Proficiency with project management software (e.g. monday.com, asana, airtable)

Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations

Knowledge of post-production processes (e.g. editing, sound design) is a plus

A talented and experienced member of the WABE’s video team will be responsible for managing WABE Studios productions to ensure compliance with Georgia Film Tax credit rules, during pre-production, production, post-production and audit processes. This individual has previous experience in a fast-paced production
company, broadcast environment, or post-production facility. They are motivated, flexible, highly organized, and can adapt quickly to changing goals and objectives


Accountabilities:
PRODUCTION – Collaborate with the Studios Audio and Video production teams to develop production plans and schedules for tax-credit projects
• Set up the “production office” for each project and oversee the day-to-day operations/paperwork of the studio and field production units
• Handle logistics and coordinate resources, including equipment, locations, and personnel.
• Manage contracts with vendors, suppliers and crew members
• Coordinate onboarding of Production crew payroll with WABE Production Accountant
• Troubleshoot production-related issues and provide timely solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all departments involved in production. -Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, such as location owners, to secure and exhibit necessary permits and clearances.
• Manage internal studio bookings.
• Manage crafty and catering services
• Oversee the distribution and archiving of production materials and documentation.
TAX CREDIT COMPLIANCE – Ensure compliance with state, city, and safety regulations throughout the production process.
• Maintain GA Tax Credit One Sheet -Monitor and control production expenditures, keeping accurate records and providing regular financial reports in coordination with the WABE Production Accountant
• Process required paperwork for the GA Film Tax Credit (Day of Days, Producer Daily Narrative, Audit Questionnaire, State Expenditure Report, Call Sheet, Locations, Crew List, Vendor List, Production Stills, etc...) according to state mandated timelines
• Provide required documentation for WABE Production Accountant to create internal cross company invoices -Collaborate with the WABE Production Accountant to track and reconcile expenses, ensuring accurate cost reporting, during production and audit processes.

Knowledge and Skills
• Excellent organization and budgeting skills. Keeping track of a film’s budget and tax credit paperwork is one of the most important jobs a production manager has. · Excellent communication skills. The production manager must communicate and work with producers, the director, studio executives, crew heads as well as local government and authorities.
• Knowledge of film and TV production. The production manager should have a working knowledge of film and TV production beyond their specific job duties as they are required to communicate and coordinate with almost every department on a film set.
• Contacts. Having a working relationship with equipment suppliers and personnel recruiters can help a production manager enormously as they move from job-to-job. When starting a new production, being able to call on the services of people whose abilities you trust will go a long way in helping pre-production planning.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations. Production managers should be well versed in health and safety regulations, insurance, basic human resources issues, contracts, and labor law. Working knowledge of paperwork requirements for GA Film Tax credits.

Build competition show seeking an experienced coordinator / manager. Duties include scheduling PA's, distributing duties, arranging transpo for cast and crew, working with vendors, tracking PR times, etc.

Build competition show looking for a strong PM. Duties include call sheets, scheduling crew and vendors, detailed tracking of reciepts and expenses. We are looking for someone who knows the Salt Lake area has a good list of resources.

Looking for Field Production Managers/UPMs for a new reality series. Series is 24/7 house reality. 6-7 weeks of filming total inclusive of pre-shoots and pickups. Shoot location for 24/7 is TBD, but this position will be required in the field for the entire duration of the shoot as well as load in and load out. Pre-production will be fully remote, may require some pre-production travel as needed.

This is NOT the job for a PC looking to move up.

Position is set to start 9/16/24 and run for approximately 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-production and oversee load in and build

- Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to and that the filming environment is safe for both cast and crew.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the field team and the production office, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Assist in managing the production budget by ensuring efficient use of resources and controlling field-related expenses.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field production management, particularly in reality TV and 24/7 filming environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse field crew in a high-pressure setting.
- Exceptional organizational and logistical planning abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work irregular hours and be on-call as necessary for a 24/7 production schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with house reality TV shows.
- Strong network of industry contacts and relationships.
