This is a NY-based freelance position. We are looking for someone with experience in the management of all Podcast production phases including planning, scheduling, budgeting, coordination of crews, voiceovers, releases, contracts, purchase orders, cost reporting, call sheets.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with various teams and departments to ensure content is produced efficiently and delivered within budget parameters, following established policies and procedures, meeting publishing deadlines, and satisfying creative expectations.
- Support production, creative, talent management, and outside vendors in the execution of content.
- Manage, keep track, and report on all aspects of production from development to delivery.
- Track costs, meet podcast production schedules, and the coordination and logistics for execution.
- Provide administrative and internal process support to assigned production activities.
- Coordinate freelancers, studios, equipment, travel logistics, in-studio and remote recording sessions, on-site production needs, contracts, releases, insurance, post production, scheduling, and various other production requirements.
- Review, approve, and submit expense reports, credit card reconciliations, and invoices.
- Recognize deviations from accepted practices and confirm appropriate next steps.
- Maintain and build a strong rolodex of freelance producers, audio engineers, production companies, and other supporting crew.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A minimum of 5 years of Production Management experience, with a strong background in Podcast Production
- College degree required.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Detailed, concise and effective communication and record-keeping.
- Ability to effectively lead a team and implement workflow and process.
- Contracting, negotiating, scheduling, and managing vendors and crews.
- International travel and production requirements.
- Budgeting, scouting, obtaining releases, purchase orders, call sheets, booking freelancers and equipment, coordinating travel, scheduling, handling insurance requirements, production and post-production scheduling, and cost reporting.
- Must be computer savvy with skills in G-Suite by Google Cloud and various budgeting, cost reporting, financial, and project management software.
