JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate has experience using both manual and automated professional broadcast software/switchers to direct live newscasts, original programs, specials, wall-to-wall breaking news, severe weather coverage and other programing for both linear and digital platforms. The newscast director must also have demonstrated experience coding newscasts, including cameras, graphics and audio. The director will prepare show rundowns, coordinating all live shots and cues.

Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for innovation, daring to be different each day. You'll work closely with producers, on air talent, and production staff to break through the clutter of local news and stand out to our audience on all platforms, current and emerging. The director will lead camera crews, audio operator, and floor director, as needed. A minimum of two years' experience directing and/or technical directing on-air for live news programing required. The ability to operate a broad range of production equipment, including character generators, audio consoles and master control equipment is desired. Lighting design experience is also a plus. Must be a visual thinker who is proactive, creative, takes initiative, reacts quickly, projects a positive attitude, and keeps their composure during stressful situations. College degree preferred.

Handling the key changes, sales amendments and late campaign buys and ensuring any late changes are implemented on time as well as any other general enquiries or day to day changes.
Actively managing the archiving of expired versions with BTS, Amagi and internal folders.
Liaising with a wide range of agencies and building positive customer relationships.
Contributing to a positive culture that embodies the company values and lead by example.

Qualities Required:

A high level of accuracy and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders. This includes the ability to articulate the value of advertising opportunities and negotiate effectively.
Advanced organization abilities - The ability to prioritize, plan, and execute tasks efficiently is crucial for success in this role.
Familiarity with the TV Broadcast industry, including an understanding of the advertising landscape, target audience demographics, and industry trends.
Collaboration - Campaign Executives often work closely with sales teams, marketing, and other departments. Being a team player and having the ability to collaborate effectively is important.
Advanced problem solving abilities - The ability to identify issues and come up with effective solutions is valuable. Sales Coordinators often encounter challenges related to client needs, scheduling, or logistics.
Proficiency in using common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and any industry-specific tools or software used for sales and coordination.
The TV Broadcast industry can be dynamic, and priorities may shift. An adaptable individual who can handle changes and challenges with a positive attitude is desirable.
A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is often preferred but not essential.
