*** Colorado News Internship provides students with real world experience and exposure to working in a top ten television market and in a high-energy newsroom. Interns may gain experience on the Assignment Desk, writing/producing, and/or with working on our digital platforms.

Interns are introduced to every aspect of our news operation, within a structured and supervised environment. Local news interns spend time in each unit observing, learning, and participating.

During their rotation, intern will:

Job Description

Work with a highly motivated team of individuals who are responsible for the fulfillment of *** content to *** Universal's distribution outlets, including its broadcast and cable networks, owned television stations, international global networks, and online destinations. The *** Asset Coordinator will be responsible for ingesting shortform content and serving as a point of contact with internal technical and sales teams, and various content providers to ensure accurate and timely *** deliveries to the play out environment, both domestic and international. Responsibilities include:

Ensure data entry of delivered content into necessary systems and databases for physical and digital assets.
Responsible for managing asset preparation including but not limited to organizing, pulling content for ingest/broadcast, and returning content to proper storage location.
Serve as a representative of the *** Operations Center, providing customer ser *** excellence that entails timely responsiveness, succinct follow ups, and building strong relationships with customer base and peer groups.
Ability to handle and prioritize workload, including time sensitive issues and materials.
Use digital delivery platforms like Aspera or Signiant on a daily basis.
Ability to collect and relay accurate information about assets both verbally and written formats to business partners, management, suppliers, and vendors.
Troubleshoot basic problems, escalations, and issues in the ingest and *** prep workflow, following the escalation procedures and maintaining client communication.
Coordinate with Sales Operations, commercial and promotional teams to resolve any shortform content related issues.

Job Description

The on-air Technical Operations team in Centennial, Colorado manages playout, linear and digital distribution of content, and monitoring for *** and *** 's Network Operation and Owned Television Stations, including distribution of live programing (such as Today Show, SNL, America's Got Talent, The Voice, *** , Olympics, Election Coverage, FIFA World Cup, and Breaking News). The team also plays an integral role in origination and monitoring of Disaster Recovery streams for a diverse portfolio of cable properties. Our Master Control Operators play a critical role in maintaining 99.999% on-air reliability in this dynamic, multi-channel environment.
