Senior Producer
We are hiring a Senior Producer to join our hard working, and incredibly talented production team. This is a contract position.

A|L Media is an award-winning strategic and public affairs media firm. We work with political and issue-oriented campaigns across the country.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the entire production process from inception to delivery of all projects and products related to client
• Work collaboratively with the account and creative teams in developing new creative to include: Broadcast/Cable TV spots, Radio, social ads and digital content
• Manage multiple projects in various stages
• Organize all shoot logistics to include: hire crew, develop schedules, maintain budgets, conduct interviews, direct action when needed, conduct interviews
• Work closely with post production team supervising edit sessions and motion graphic artist requests in executing creative
• License all project materials, work with vendors on content, music and talent (including on-camera and VO talent, music composition)
• Maintain and reconcile production and post production budgets

Qualifications
• 3 to 6 years as a full-time producer with experience in pre-production, field and post production departments
• Experience managing a support team; in-field production crew; post-production team
• Strong communication skills, excellent organization skills; is detail-oriented
• Ability to manage multiple projects for multiple clients
• Understands the demands of production hours; nights and weekends as necessary
• Works well under pressure; consistently meets deadlines
• Familiar with AICP and SAG/AFTRA guidelines and contracts a plus
• Desire to work for progressive values

*** 13, the *** Television Stations Owned & Operated Duopoly in Seattle, is seeking an experienced journalist and news producer to join our newsroom team as senior producer on "Good Day Seattle." The ideal candidate will be a skilled "rundown doctor" who likes to try something new every day and encourage others to do the same: dress up a lead story, get creative with weather coverage, dig for sidebar/breakout content, or utilize untapped resources to make each newscast pop.

The successful candidate should also be a terrific writer, with particular attention to lead writing, tease writing, and copy editing. The senior producer will not be assigned to a specific newscast on a regular basis but will help manage a strong line producing team elevate their game even more. We're looking for someone who can know the rundown(s) like the back of their hand and be able to make necessary changes as the morning unfolds - in a diplomatic way that endeavors to ensure all our bases remain covered.

The successful candidate should have 5-7 years line producing in a mid to major *** market. If you have good EP experience in a smaller market, that's ok too! We are looking for a team player who is a champion of our daily journalism efforts. This role is focused primarily on the production of our weekday morning news block (weekdays 4:30-10 a.m.). However, the news business is a 24/7 world, and that schedule could change occasionally for various needs including vacation relief, holiday coverage, breaking news or other special events.

Your Role Accountabilities...

The Senior Producer for this Washington-based political show must have a passion for political news and an eye for definitive enterprise reporting opportunities.
The Senior Producer will work onsite in the Washington, DC bureau for the full day.
The Senior Producer will set the table for each day's newscast and generate story ideas that could be commissioned for that day's air or developed over the long-term.
The Senior Producer will regularly line produce the live program.
The Senior Producer will also work with correspondents on scripts, live shots, and conversational segments, as well as plan for the next day's reports and segments.

Job Description

Role Summary:

E! News digital is hiring a Sr. Digital Video Producer/Editor who will be a part of our growing team of digital video producer/writer/editors on the news video editorial team. The ideal candidate is creative, adaptable, and very fast at writing and creating digital video content. Job duties include producing digital-first entertainment news content for social, video distribution, and mobile optimized platforms. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in entertainment news video production, proven video editing skills, and a clear understanding of the key difference *** ween traditional *** and digital-first content. The candidate will be responsible for writing scripts, reporting and sourcing information, collecting visual assets, and producing and editing digital video under tight news deadlines. Experience as a multi-platform journalist in entertainment news will best suit this role. This role will report to the Senior Producer, News Video.

On-camera talent is not required for this role, but experience behind the camera, working as a reporter/producer on red carpets and the ability to conduct interviews at entertainment-related events is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Create 3+ digital video stories per day, often under tight news-driven deadlines.
Cut short form digital video in under 3 hours from end-to-end: Collecting reporting, writing the script, collecting assets/b-roll, track VO, produce and edit video, and post on social and digital platforms.
Edit with ease in Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects or AVID
Self-assign and create video assignments as needed during busy news times, and self-edit as needed with little supervision. Use metrics-driven thinking to select projects that fulfill the brand's daily video view goals.

Work with E!'s social and editorial teams to create highly-sharable content
Optimize sound and lighting quality in videos, create simple graphic transitions, add text on screen and other graphics and easily export videos.
Write strong, factual, entertainment news scripts for news packages. Ability to work easily with legal or heavier news scripts and maintain accuracy.
Serve as a creative producer/editor on assigned projects (including, but not limited to livestreams, weekly video series, mashups, interviews, show clips, extendeded interviews and other projects as assigned)
Create SEO-optimized headlines and captions that factually represent your video story and drive video views on E! News digital platforms.

Use strong news judgement
Optimize and post content for social *** platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
Liaison with producing team, booking team, and post-production as needed
Produce guest interviews/attend field shoots, as needed and shoot crisp, clean footage on DSLR camera or iPhone
Collect clear audio in the field and in the studio

Take assignments from the News Producer daily
Contribute to team brainstorms by pitching content ideas that will help build video views, on-site and off-site traffic and audience
Maintain a level of professionalism with talent
Line Produce and work on ad/sales content when assigned
Produce branded content, as needed

Juggle multiple projects with parallel timelines

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

BA or BS from a four-year accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience producing news digital video content end-to-end for digital platforms
Excellent expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects.)
Knowledge of AVID or similar platforms or willingness to learn fast if you aren't familiar
Excellent writing skills
Strong copy editing skills, ability to self-edit your own work
Must be able to work under extremely tight deadlines
Must be able to work weekends and later evenings as needed during busy times like award shows
Social *** -savvy with the ability to post your own stories on social accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
Creative thinker who can look at entertainment trends and find innovative ways to tell a story in a digital video
