Award-winning, documentary production company is accepting candidates for a Social Media Producer position to oversee a long-running, talent-driven series for PBS.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have prior social media and/or short form content producing experience. They will be working directly with the production and post-production teams and should have experience creating, editing, and designing visually interesting content that can be shared across various platforms. Examples of potential content include filming behind the scenes moments, editing pieces from the series or cutting room floor, and recording LIVE discussions with our guests/experts/production team. They will be working with the PBS marketing and digital team to implement their social strategies around the content, but should also come to us with ideas/suggestions on how to expand this series’ reach and to grow this brand.
They will report to the company’s Supervising Producer and must possess exceptional communication and organization skills. Position can/will evolve and includes potential for additional responsibility across brands and the company’s overall web presence. Create new business logic, leveraging RESTful API standards and best practices and patterns on the backend of our systems.
Deploy and maintain databases and storage for our applications in both SQL and NoSQL styles.
Design features that extend from the application user interface to underlying APIs.
