Looking for someone available to work next week - on Wednesday 5/22. Looking for a sound mixer/recordist to work 12 hr days and bring their own equipment for a really moving documentary. Rate to include kit rental. Ideally would have documentary and docu-series experience. You'll be a part of something that hopefully will make a big social impact. Documentary film called In Search of Love about how attraction works, the science of love and how to have long lasting relationships. Should be some great insight in the interview. Will be interviewing a celebrity musician about their experience so need to keep all confidential.

Working on a non-union sports doc series and looking for a local experienced sound mixer to join us for a 1 day shoot out in the Saratoga Springs area. Open to Albany res who can work locally for the day. Primarily shooting a multi-cam sit-down interview and b-roll.


Shoot Day: 5/23/24
Day rate: is $600/12 + $400 kit fee

Sound Kit should include:
- Mixer
- Lav's and shotgun for interviews
- Timecode Slate
- IFBs and headsets

Audio

Collaborate with the production team to understand the show's audio requirements.
Set up and configure audio recording equipment, including microphones, mixers, and recorders.
Perform equipment checks to ensure proper functioning and troubleshoot any issues.
Determine the most effective placement of microphones on cast members, ensuring clear and high-quality audio capture.
Adjust microphone levels to account for variations in voice volume.
Monitor live audio feeds during filming to detect and address any technical issues promptly.
Use headphones to assess the quality of the recorded audio in real-time.
Mix and balance audio levels between different microphones to create a cohesive and natural sound.
Maintain clear communication with the FP and production team regarding audio requirements and potential challenges.
Coordinate with other crew members to ensure a seamless integration of audio with video production.
Record high-quality audio tracks during filming, ensuring that all relevant audio is captured.
Ensure that audio recording practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
Hand off audio files to PM and/or Media Manager to ensure files are dropped on to hard drives safely.

Looking for a sound mixer for a true crime series shooting in Long Beach Island area of NJ. Hotels can be provided from for overnights on consecutive shoot days.

Main shoot set up is a 2 camera talking head interview, we shoot about 2 sit down interviews a day. Sometimes we will also shoot OTF interviews/walk and talks.

Gear requirements are 2x lav mics (for the occasional 2 head interview) and a boom for the interviews. We will not need comteks.

Shoot is 5/21-5/25, dates are slightly in flux. One or two days might end up being broll only.

We are looking for a solid Sound Mixer to join our team May 19th - 21st & 24th for season 3 of a true crime series for Oxygen.

Filming will consist of inside, sit-down single person interviews. Audio files will be uploaded immediately after the interview wraps for transcription, as well as offloaded to the physical drive. We will be shooting on two Sony FS7s or comparable Sony cameras - Exact cameras TBC. A Post Bible will be provided upon hire.

I am looking for a Sound Mixer for June 10th and June 11th for my short film "Heaven's Diner."

Heaven’s Diner is run by women of color who have taken justice against harassers into their own hands. They hire Lilah to walk down NYC streets at night to scout and bring back male catcallers to the diner. The staff then work together to kill and butcher the men into burgers.

It is important to me to elevate women and non-binary people in filmmaking. As a result, I will have an all female/non-binary crew, with a particular emphasis on people of color.
