We're seeking a production sound mixer for our independent music film. Currently scheduled for 19 days of filming.

Narrative overview: A struggling LA music producer navigates a career-defining showcase and sudden guardianship of his newly discovered half-sister. Music plays an integral role in their journey of healing and connection.

Sound Needs:
-Heavy emphasis on live music recording (vocals and various instruments).
-Skill in capturing the energy and nuance of both intimate and showcase performances.
-Experience and comfort with on-location sound mixing.
-Budget available for a sound partner/boom operator of your choice at the same rate.

A sound mixer for a micro budget web show shooting entirely indoors.

Audio Technician performs a variety of tasks related to live, pre-recorded, studio and field production, all in support of multiple 24x7 TV broadcast channels and OTT platforms.  Primary duties include, but are not limited to, responsibility for all facets of audio production projects and daily operation of audio mixing, switching and special effects equipment.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

- Operate all audio mixing, switching, equalizing and special effects equipment for TV production primarily in a live studio environment
- Address daily show requirements from an audio and technical standpoint as communicated by the Director, Producer and production staff
- Coordinate daily feeds, including IFB and PL coordination lines, with the remote tech manager (as required) or - Transmission Operation Center staff
- Test mics, IFB's and PL system with remote A2
- Confirm all audio sources are good and fax inbound remote feeds and mix-minus' prior to show.
- Program production intercom for use in remote locations
- Monitor audio feeds, make appropriate adjustments and mix talent microphones, various audio sources, music playback and sound effects to create a program mix for air
- Create additional mixes for clean feed, iso records and monitoring stations, as required
- Proficient problem solving and troubleshooting techniques and effective communication to best convey the issues necessary for resolution
- Operate routing equipment which may require patching of video, audio and ancillary signals
- Setup and operate different types of adjunct audio and telephone equipment, including analog/digital cartridge machines, audio servers, speech enhancers and intercoms
- Provide proper technical interface between in-plant devices and outside audio and communication sources
- Performs ingest procedure for transfer of media material into the audio air server.
- Quality checks and adjusts video/audio signal levels for optimum quality
- Able to complete tasks and projects with strict deadlines.
- Develop, write and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the department.
- Complete formal paperwork for Audio department and other departments including, but not limited to creating, maintaining, and disseminating daily audio schedules, emails, and charts of all audio feeds and remote based information
- Takes direction from control room team for content assignment
- Performs duties on remote broadcasts, as assigned

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

- Working knowledge of systems/equipment used in functions identified above, including analog/digital/high definition video/audio signals and monitoring equipment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in broadcast operations at a local TV station, cable/satellite channel or other industry-related environment
- Working level of operational skills and abilities when using all broadcast equipment and technology within assigned operating areas, including but not limited to microphone and IFB signal flows, wireless PL systems, mix minus and Intercom devices
- Ability to travel to remote broadcast sites, as assigned
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. un-assisted of technical and or set gear
- Ability to work well in a broadcast team environment, including talent, producers and directors, under strict time deadlines
- Ability to work a flexible schedule consisting of weekends and holidays
- At least 1 year of Audio Technician experience working in a live television studio or remote environment preferred

The applicable hourly range for this position is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. Looking for an experienced Sound Mixer for a public television food series we are filming in Kansas on June 18th & 19th. We'll be filming with various food cultivators and chefs around the state (with driving between segments), so must have reliable vehicle.

On June 18th, we'll be filming in Lawrence and Cheney and ending our day in Wichita.
On June 19th, we'll be filming in Goessel, Newton and Peabody, and ending our day in Wichita.

Assuming applicant is based in Wichita, mileage will be provided, as well as a $400 travel stipend and lodging for the evening of June 17th. (Our first location, Lawrence, is about a 2 hr, 30 min drive from Wichita.)

We'll be capturing interviews, b-roll and walk and talks using 2x C70s & 1 R5C. Kit must included tentacles to sync up the time code (3 total, 1 per camera), personal mixing/recording gear, a boom mic/pole and 3 lavs. The rest of the crew will be traveling in, so bonus points if you are able to help us secure a couple of c-stands and some sand bags for the camera team.

SC Pictures is shooting a variety of docu-style video commercials for Fintepla, and we are shooting one about a child in Detroit. We need to hire local crew for the 1 day shoot on June 15th. The shoot day will be roughly 12 hours. Full payment of the pay rate will be included if sound mixer brings their own gear.

We are shooting a proof of concept for a docuseries about some racers at the Mid-Ohio racetrack 6/6-6/9. Looking for someone with experience shooting car racing in addition to general docuseries - there will probably be some walk and talks, and maybe a sit down interview. The racing portion takes about 45 minutes 2x per day for the cup that we are following.

I know you probably live a bit far from there, so we can get you a hotel room, but we are looking for people to work as locals.

We are looking for a Sound Mixer for a podcast shoot in Kansas City. This is a podcast with athletes, 4-5 people at any time, so we will need 5 Lavaliers. We will need one lock box for timecode jamming of all cameras (no need for multiple). We will also want a line in for our center camera (a 3.5mm mix line in) and 3x IFBs for producers.

These will be relaxed and short days, first day in a hotel and subsequent days in single Airbnb location.
