Seeking a local mixer with gear, for an independent feature documentary following local political candidates leading up to the election. Will be approx.15-30 days over the course of several months. Must have prior experience as a sound mixer on a *VERITE* documentary or documentary series. Must also have experience with sit-down interviews. Must have references, must be local, (not willing to work as local). Experience on political projects a plus!

We're looking for a sound mixer for an upcoming non-union shoot in Baltimore on May 8. This is corporate shoot where we will be filming a number of people reading off a teleprompter. Only one person will be on camera at a time. You must be able to work as a local and provide your own transportation to and from set. Please include relevant experience and equipment list/rates. A 1-2 day documentary shoot for a California based organization called Hope the Mission. The documentary will follow the founders on their 3500 mile bike ride across the country to raise awareness and funds to combat the homeless crisis!

The shoot will be a half day from approximately 2pm-6pm with a series of straight forward interviews and b roll with individuals, service providers and elected officials.

The job is for a charitable organization so everyone that is engaged on the project are all making the same day rate.

The organization can also offer a tax write-off.

Essential responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Film verite’ and a variety of sit down and on the fly interviews
Basic Requirements:
* 5+ years of filming experience required
* Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours
* Must be able to pick up and carry at least 50lbs
* Must be 18 years or older
* Must be okay working 12 hour day
* Must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, car insurance, and a satisfactory driving record (we cover local mileage reimbursement, but do not cover travel or accommodations). 
Additional Requirements:
* Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from a designated worksite outside of Houston.
Pay Range: $42-51/hour. Will also pay a gear rental fee of $300/day.

Filming will consist of sit-down interviews. Audio files will be uploaded immediately after the interview wraps for transcription, as well as offloaded to the physical drive. A sound mixer for a micro budget web show shooting entirely indoors.

Looking for a sound mixer for a true crime series shooting in Rockford, IL. Hotels can be provided from Chicago for overnights on consecutive shoot days.

Main shoot set up is a 2 camera talking head interview, we shoot about 2 sit down interviews a day. Sometimes we will also shoot OTF interviews/walk and talks.

Gear requirements are 2x lav mics (for the occasional 2 head interview) and a boom for the interviews. We will not need comteks.

Shoot is 5/13-5/18, will be 5 days. Dates still slightly in flux.
