**** 5 is looking for an expert news writer to join us. This is an overnight shift and must be able to work the Morning Show shift of 1 AM - 8:30 AM with at least one weekend day per week.

Responsibilities:
• Write compelling, succinct, clear news scripts under tight deadlines for broadcast and digital platforms
• Write content according to station policies, editorial style and rundown
• Research and evaluate news stories and sources
• Video editing of content for news broadcasts using Edius/Grass Valley system
• Assist in the producing of news segments and breaking news special reports
• Exercise sound news judgment and comply with **** News editorial standards

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience writing television news

• Experience on INEWS/ENPS or equivalent news computer system
• Related College degree and/or equivalent preferred
• Ability to create clear, compelling, succinct news stories from raw materials including: unedited video, reporter notes, desk notes, telephone interviews, and wire copy
• Writing style that is straightforward, uses active voice and is conversational

The Noticiero Writer is responsible for outlining and polishing the written content for the on-air show during tapings. The Noticiero Writer is responsible for supporting the cases with accurate information of other related stories occurring around the world.

Responsibilities:

• Assists producers in all aspects of the production of daily newscasts with a focus on writing
• Writes stories as assigned by producers, including readers, voice-overs, vo/sots, and anchor packages

This person will be responsible for writing and publishing content daily while editing junior writers and conducting interviews for E! Online. This person will also spearhead E!'s weekend coverage, working Saturday-Wednesday.
