Manager: Technical Services Manager
The Gravity Media team in Las Vegas is seeking a Freelance Studio Tech/Utility who will be responsible for supporting live and live to tape broadcast production in a high profile facility. This is a technical position. You will be responsible for preparing the production space(s), general equipment set-up and placement, testing of gear and other duties to ensure flawless broadcast execution. You must be technically oriented and have a desire to learn more about the technical ecosystem.

As part of our Las Vegas team you will:
When on site, you will work closely with the Engineer in Charge and technical team to ready spaces for live broadcast production
Adapt to changing priorities including program changes and technical fault finding in a fast-paced, network-level environment
Maintain professional relationships Gravity staff, client talent and personnel
Maintain knowledge of technology trends, standards, and methodologies
Provide technical reports and general status for each project
Other duties as assigned
Required
2-5 years of experience in a live broadcast production environment
Knowledge of technical spaces and associated production systems
Education or training in broadcast production
Superior communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, non-technical persons and clients. Superb at distilling down complex concepts/ideas
Self-motivated and resourceful, ability to solve unusual or unexpected problem
Adaptable to changing schedules
Microsoft Office familiarity and general spreadsheet understanding and ability to read technical drawings
Knowledge base preferred
Experience in REMI studio environment
Manufacturer-provided broadcast training from SONY, EVERTZ, etc.
Demonstrated familiarity with basic server, networking topology and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix, etc.)
Familiarity with Autocad, Azzurro, ClearCom, EVERTZ
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for an hour at a time
Ability to sit, reach outward or above the shoulder, stand, walk, handle with fingers, stand, bend, and stoop.
Ability to operate a keyboard, view a video display terminal screen, ability to use telephone equipment.
Ability to lift weights up to 20 pounds and push or pull up to 25 pounds.
