The supervising producer must be creative, have a strong editorial voice and have the interpersonal skills to collaborate with others to ensure newscasts are executed clearly on air, are relevant to current events and meet audience preferences. This role will skillfully use social *** and digital tools to research, discover, write, edit, and produce content for the newscast and will work closely with the digital team to execute the weekend digital plan. Responsibilities:

Create, write, and edit content for newscasts.
Work with other show producers, on-air talent, and news management, to create new content and showcase content in unique ways. Work with digital team to highlight digital content on air, making sure this content is being properly showcased inside all newscasts.
Look for opportunities to create original content. Work with reporters and anchors and MSJ's to enhance their daily stories with graphics and production techniques that will help tell the story in more visual and compelling way.
Collaborate with the newsroom managers on developing news stories and planning; pitch and write/produce stories on-air news coverage and online platforms.
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field or equivalent experience required

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure high quality, creatively executed productions with effective shooting/editing/scripting.
Segments ideas for the show, treatments for segments
Research on stories, and adequate communication of information to the show producer (Senior Producer) with suggestions on how the story is to be presented.
Following the editorial and creative guidelines for the show
Ensuring high quality scripting, story development, pre-production, production, and post-production on stories

Performance Measures:

Production delivery of all properties on the Star Sports channels for core viewers across TV & Digital medium to improve engagement.
Develop robust and thought-provoking content plans that engage audiences for longer and drives viewership.
Managing your production team to conform to internationally acclaimed broadcast standards and practices in TV and Digital broadcast.

Qualifications:

Graduate/Postgraduate in any content/creative stream with minimum 10 years' experience
Knowledge of live broadcasting's various aspects
Understanding of sports content production
Networking in the television production industry and knowledge of production houses as well as freelancers with requisite production skills
Experience of live/taped as live shows and of producing high quality features, understanding of good camerawork and editing.
