Meredith Video is looking for a highly organized, operationally focused Supervising Producer to oversee and manage long and short form video productions for our food vertical. The candidate will join our highly collaborative video team, with a preferred background in multichannel production tactics for advertising, marketing, video production and overall project management.
THIS WILL BE A 3-6 MONTH TEMP POSITION WITH A POSSIBILITY FOR AN EXTENSION.
Must be well-versed in digital video production, social platforms and best practices for all, as well as have a deep interest in emerging platforms and video trends.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven ability to manage videos for multiple food brands that are shareable and have an impact with a digital audience across digital/mobile/OTT platforms. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, motivator and project manager. Work experience in the food space is a must.
JOB SUMMARY
Support Executive Producer in managing content & programming strategy at the vertical level
Manage the creative video vision for multiple brands (including Allrecipes, Eating Well, Food & Wine) in collaboration with cross-departmental stakeholders
Oversee multiple, simultaneous productions, budgets and timelines
Work with stakeholders to prioritize time-sensitive projects so they are optimized for success
Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to respond to sales inquiries
Lead monthly vertical strategy sessions with cross-functional teams to create content programming
Work closely with management to tactically support video goals
Manage content production to an annual budget and output goal
Collaborate with video and digital teams to ideate and develop new content
Develop & Manage complementary strategies for new and emerging platforms.
Utilize data and analytics to drive strategic vertical programming decisions
Continually test new products, formats and production methodologies
Prepare and present monthly brand level reporting to cross-functional teams as needed
Solve day-to-day production challenges
Ensure the sourcing and hiring of diverse and inclusive crew and staff positions
Manage and mentor a team of video professionals
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Ensure content is published and receives maximum viewership
Analyze performance and provide feedback to stakeholders
Excellent written and oral communication
Build & manage strong relationships with cross functional & cross departmental teams
Must effectively communicate video strategy and production to stakeholders
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Has prior food experience – digital preferred
Super Organized and can keep the teams on schedule and under budget
Communication skills to be an active participant in high-level meetings
In-depth understanding of engagement metrics and audience growth strategies
7+ years experience managing and creating content for a media or publishing company
Extremely knowledgeable about all digital video platforms
Ability to work independently and under close direction
Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Camera Operation, Production Audio, and Production Lighting a plus
Must be meticulous, technical, organized, and creative
Ability to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines associated with a fast-paced news cycle
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong command of the English language and the ability to copy edit is a must for this role
