TMZ is seeking an Overnight Logger to receive, ingest, digitize and organize incoming video into the Dalet system for the Post Production team. This position reports to the Post Production Supervisor and will be scheduled to work a full-time overnight shift, Wednesday – Sunday from 10:00PM – 7:00AM. Only applicants currently living in the Los Angeles area will be considered.

Responsibilities:

Digitize incoming field materials and log raw field clips
Transcribe descriptions of logged footage
Daily data importing and tape organization for storage in Filemaker Pro
Work with closed caption editing systems
Other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

Must be able to work a full time overnight shift, Wednesday – Sunday from 10:00PM – 7:00AM
Must currently live in the Los Angeles area
Basic understanding of video formats and equipment is required
Must be technically savvy and able to troubleshoot basic IT issues
Basic Adobe Premiere, Adobe Prelude, Adobe Media Encoder and Filemaker Pro skills are strongly preferred
Prior experience working with the Dalet digital media system is a plus
Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage time effectively, are required
Must possess excellent writing, grammar, and spelling skills

The Graphic Producer will be responsible for the creation of graphic elements which include written/visual content under tight deadlines in a live broadcast environment including but not limited to a control room.
