Looking for experienced utilities for a corporate event in Boston on April 3rd and 4th. The 3rd will be a full set day; the 4th will be production and strike. Must have experience working on live events/broadcasts. Utilities will be responsible for running cabling, building cameras, and assisting with load-in and strike.

Production Operations at Televisa *** is looking for a Utility to join our team!

Responsibilities include assisting the Camera Operators during show productions. Will also be tasked with assisting the Floor Manager with general studio functions including any needs that may arise on the floor. The Utility will report to the Production Manager.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

Pull cables for the Camera Operators during shows
Organize and coil cables after each scheduled production
Assist the Floor Manager with cables, sets, props and traffic on the studio floor
Place microphones, IFB, and other related communication equipment on talent and ensure that they are working properly
Perform other related duties as assigned

YOU HAVE: (

Associates Degree in Television Production or equivalent work experience
1-2 years of experience with live studio broadcast
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
Working knowledge of computers and Windows operating systems
Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs of equipment and cables
Knowledge of set monitors and other essential studio hardware
Comfortable with all aspects of the production
Perform well under pressure and breaking news situations
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
As this position supports a 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane

Our Lighting Artists are an integral part of the storytelling process, using their keen eye to manipulate color and light to emphasize shifts of mood both subtle and dynamic. We are looking for artists who thrive in a team environment. This includes the ability to share ideas and also to be open to ideas within the team.

What You Will Do
Lighting Artists are responsible for lighting, rendering, and compositing shots together with both character and environment renders into a final frame until it meets the vision of the Director, Production Designer, Director of Cinematography: Lighting, and Lighting Supervisors.

Lighting Artists present shots in a dailies environment, effectively communicate issues regarding their shots, and deliver top-notch work within production deadlines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Understanding of color, contrast, and lighting design
Notable production experience with 3D lighting and compositing
A strong visual sense and the ability to distinguish subtle differences that affect the matching of elements crafted in multiple mediums
Strong knowledge of Houdini
Solid understanding of a node-based compositing system (i.e. Shake or Nuke) required
Global illumination lighting such as V-Ray, Arnold or similar experience required
Strong in-depth knowledge of Unix and/or Linux
Strong problem solving skills and a good eye required
Ability to work in a collaborative environment, taking direction from the Director, Production Designer, Director of Cinematography: Lighting, and Lighting Supervisors.

Education

BA in Art, Digital *** , Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience

The pay rate for this role in Burbank is $56.38 to $61.16 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
